“One of the worst cases of farm animal abuse,” is how the scene has been described by a rescuer. According to reports, dozens of farm animals have been found dead, injured, and starving on a ranch.
Olivia Head with Oinking Acres Farm Rescue & Sanctuary reports that some of the aliments facing the apparently abused animals include parasites, starvation, and severe diarrhea. Some of the animals were reportedly found locked up in a truck.
The good news is that Oinking Acres, in conjunction with A Critters Chance, have rescued dozens of these farm animals and ensured they receive medical treatment. The bad news is that crimes against farm animals often go unpunished. When asked about this fact, Head explained that people don’t have enough respect for farm animals. “They’re seen as commodities and products and not seen as the wonderful loving creatures that they are.”

Dear Prosecutor Eaton,
The abuse of farm animals often goes unnoticed and unpunished due to society’s view of these animals as commodities. This is not fair. All animals deserve kindness and compassion, and when they are abused, the perpetrator should be punished.

The abuse of any animal is one abuse too many.
I am a nurse, and the word abuse is not the correct word to use with such heinous crimes towards innocent animals. The proper word is brutality and or attempted murder. We had humans come in to ER. and if the patient had mild physical bruises it was classified as abuse, if it was worse, it’s brutality. Like i have said before, we need to sign a petition to the governor whomever and sign hurting animals or worse into law. We have it animals should too!
Heinous and deliberate abuse and neglect in Ohio. Not a surprise, one more state where animals are just some losers property and it’s okay to abuse them, including abuse them to death. Prove me wrong and actually punish the owners of this sham rescue with real fines, real jail and a real lifetime ban on animal contact of any kind. Anything else is enabling abuse.

There should be a new law for no walking after accused waiting for trial they need to be take in on the spot, no waiting for a second offense, these abusers are getting away with up to 11 counts of abuse with no actions taken this must change

There are so many people on our planet so many mouths to feed.
My thoughts are that some workers in the meat and chicken industry think that these animals dont feel pain and anguish. Could a worker feel enormous power over the animals?
Perhaps its a worker’s way of not feeling any guilt or empathy associated with their work. Well, indeed animals feel pain. Is it too much trouble to respect and show some dignity towards the animals? Afterall, they do end up on your plate!

Growing up on a livestock and crop farm, I found this news horribly disturbing. Farm animals give their lives to sustain ours; their deliberate abuse needs to be addressed in a manner that demonstrates your commitment to livestock welfare going forward and sets an example for other jurisdictions to follow.
And we should also stop EATING animals, FFS!
Shut down the factory and dairy farms! And stop shearing sheep!

Farm animals should be treated just the way any living creature should be treated. These animals have feelings and require decent shelter, food, water and kindness. Anyone who neglects and abuses any animal should be facing jail time. We need to have better laws to protect all animals from heartless subhumans.

It is people or rescuers like Oinking Acres and A Critters Chance that are the real heroes. They are the ones who witness first hand the animal abuse and neglect and then take on the challenges of providing the much needed medical, nutrition, shelter, and love to help bring these animals back to good health. It is alot of work, time, money, and devotion. The people responsible for deliberately causing harm and or death to these farm animals should be held accountable for this crime. Additionally, the people responsible for this crime should have to pay financial restitution to those providing the care to these farm animals.

There are many animals I would save before most humans. ALL animals deserve care, and safety, and upstanding farmers need to stand up for Animal Rights!!! Or are there any humane farmers anymore??? These individuals responsible deserve to be strung up and and hung up like scarecrows, for all as a reminder to future offenders, and feeds the pecking crows!!
