Justice for 100 Animals Living ‘In Filth’ and In ‘Extremely Unsanitary Conditions’

Target: Heather L. Adams, District Attorney of Lancaster County, PA

Goal: Prosecute person or people apparently responsible for neglect of 100 animals to the fullest extent.

What do sheep, horses, goats, dogs, cats, turkeys, chickens, and baby ducks have in common? All of these animals were allegedly victims of severe neglect and cruelty on the same Pennsylvania property. In total, 100 animals were seized from the Quarryville residence, including 11 dogs, 27 cats, 5 horses, 4 sheep, 1 goat, 2 turkeys, 32 chicks, 4 guinea hens, 6 hens and 8 baby ducks. According to reports, these animals were living “in filth” in “extremely unsanitary conditions.”

Fortunately, these animals have undergone veterinary care, and the state’s animal welfare organization is in the process of securing them new homes. An investigation is ongoing. Similar cases in the region, however, have resulted in minimal penalties.

Sign the petition below to ensure this disturbing case does not slip through the legal system’s cracks.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear DA Adams,

Over 100 animals were recently seized from a Lancaster County premises that was reportedly in deplorable condition. These seemingly neglected animals were only rescued after a call from a good Samaritan. Two other recent animal cruelty cases within the county, one involving 25 charges against a woman and the other pertaining to a puppy breeder, resulted in convictions with either suspended or bare minimum jail sentences attached. More disturbing still, both of the individuals in these cases were not permanently barred from having animals in the future.

Do not let this case fall victim to an equal injustice. Once the investigation is completed, seek full charges against all involved parties. Animal cruelty is a serious offense that can be a predictor of future criminal behavior. Please start treating it as such.

Sincerely,

    Wonder if they are Amish?

    • Gilda Provenzano says:

I was told they could be. Not shocked at all.

    • This should not be an issue. This happens all over the country and 90% of the people are not Amish. It’s the same as saying it’s ‘tradition’ to torture animals. It’s all disgusting and sickening.

    • Wonder if the animals care what ‘culture’ their abusers were ? They only care that they are being treated with kindness and humanely which they were not.

    • Kathleen Creamer says:

      Certainly sounds like it.

    • Manitou Calmstorm says:

How dare you criticize someone because of their religious beliefs. Would you like it if someone spoke of you. “Oh Karen huh? Wonder if she’s as much a bitch as her name implies.”

All I can say about you, is you are a truly despicable person. Maybe YOU’RE the waste of space and air!

  2. Patricia Wicker says:

DISGUSTING!!! Glad the Animals were rescued!!

    barbaric

  4. PLEASE SAVE THESE INNOCENT PETS!

  5. Uncommonsensesc says:

All over this country, animal abuse is tolerated and I’ve yet to see true justice done! Huge cockfight in Georgia in 2020 and only read about it 1 time – none of the “news” stations (WYFF4 and WSPA7) even reported on it (but let a storm come through and every other word is Impact!). Spineless prosecutors don’t give jail time, very low fines (if any at all) and plea deals that make me sick! Karma bats should be used on these people!

  6. There will never be justice for these and other animals as long as the laws exist as they are and spinless judges don’t even hand what these weak laws allow.

  7. It’s past time for Pennsylvania to take animal abuse seriously and to start actually prosecuting and punishing these abusers. PA is getting a reputation like Florida and Texas and (worst of all) Mississippi. If there are no consequences for this crap then it will never stop and if no actions are taken then PA is actively enabling and encouraging abuse. Sickening.

  8. Julia Edinger says:

MUST “SEVERELY PUNISH” THOSE EVIL BEING’S THEY ARE CRIMINALS….. . .

  9. Nadine+brundage says:

That section of Pennsylvania is noted for puppy mill breeders. Where is the USDA to investigate these Pathetic breeders? They need to be shut down and fined for animal cruelty.

  10. I would love to adopt most of these animals. And give them a very loving home

  11. Wendy+Morrison says:

MAKE ALL THESE CRUEL, ABUSIVE, AND STUPID IDIOTS (aka: people) LIVE IN THEIR OWN FECES, POOP, AND GIVE THEM ABSOLUTELY NOTHINGBTOBEATBAND DRINK FOR THE REST OF THEIR MISERABLE LIVES IMMEDIATELY!!!!!! PLPRISOB CELLS ARE TOO GOOD FOR THEM!!

  12. Maria Lavorato says:

This type of negligence must ALWAYS be punishable by law. Otherwise, where does it stop.!!!

Please give all the animals the full care they need.

  13. Urszula Lund says:

DEATH PENALTY for ALL animal-torturers and animal-abusers. No animal shall be starved, neglected and sadistically abused by dehumanized and desensitized psychopathic scum. ALL animal-abusing sadists must be EUTHANIZED to set an example. DEATH PENALTY is the only adequate punishment for this human garbage! These monsters must be forbidden from coming near animals ever again!

  14. Praying something actually do something to these cruel and abusive people. Tired of them getting a slap on the wrist. Sentence them to jail or prison, better yet do to them what they have done to these innocent animals.

  15. I agree 100% with Urszula Lund! Executing people who abuse animals is the only thing that will work. Not only will they never become ‘repeat’ offenders, but also it will deter others from committing these types of crimes.

  16. If this isn’t a classic case of prison time then what is? These people abused all animals across the board. Please prosecute as this kind of cruelty needs more than a slap on the wrist. Also they should never be allowed to own animals for life.

  17. NICOLE DAVIS says:

TELL ME, IS ANYONE EVER GOING TO GO AND SORT THIS SHOCKING STATE OF AFFAIRS OUT? THESE POOR INNOCENT ANIMALS (ALL OF THEM) WILL NEVER, EVER DESERVE TO BE TREATED SO WICKEDLY AND CRUELLY BY THESE VILE, DISGUSTING EXCUSES FOR SO CALLED `HUMANS`!!!!
PLEASE GET THIS STOPPED NOW AND FOR GOOD. EVIL PEOPLE IS BEING POLITE. THEY NEED A TASTE OF THEIR OWN `MEDICINE` AND STOPPED FOREVER. WICKED, DISGUSTING EXCUSES FOR `HUMANS`.

  18. Shirley Lemieux says:

Pennsylvania has a history of snubbing its nose to extreme animal cruelty cases. The States Law makers care more about themselves then to be good stewards towards animals. It is a shame that animals exist in a State where animal abusers can cause severe neglect and cruelty to animals without consequences that reflect the crime.

  19. Vera van Diepen says:

Another filthy Amish puppymill. Shut these hell holes down and jail these “gods people” who torture animals for profit.

Every one of these profit breeders deserves to spend their time in the hell they preach to the world about.

Then again, the way they treat their women and children is reflected in their respect for the life of any living being.
