Success: Finland and Sweden Join Fight for International Security and Freedom

Target: Jens Stoltenberg, Secretary-General of North Atlantic Treaty Organization

Goal: Support entry of Finland and Sweden into North Atlantic Treaty Organization.

Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has Europe, and most of the world, on edge. The continent still bears the lingering scars of two previous world wars, and those haunting memories drive many fears today. Safety concerns recently prompted two countries with a long-standing policy of neutrality to seek membership in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO). Signers of this ForceChange petition called on leadership within the alliance to grant this urgent request of Finland and Sweden. And the leaders have listened.

NATO has finally begun the process of formally admitting these nations into its ranks. The major barrier to this decision, resistance from NATO member Turkey, has apparently been resolved. Now, Europe is presenting an even stronger united front in its resistance of unprovoked Russian aggression.

Sign the petition below to commend this important organization for opening its doors to new members.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Secretary-General Stoltenberg,

NATO has played a prominent role in maintaining the peace and stability that has largely held Europe together for decades. With the admissions of two formidable new allies in Finland and Sweden, this alliance will only grow stronger. The current realities and threats of today make a strong and united NATO more important than ever.

Thank you for making the right call, and please maintain this vital open-door policy.

Sincerely,

[Your Name Here]
