Success: Bobcat is Healthy and Safe After Reported Theft

Target: Noreen Lowris, owner of the Pocono Snake and Animal Farm

Goal: Encourage the action taken by owner and employees of the farm to keep Blanche safe and secured.

Weeks ago, a 22-year-old bobcat named Blanche was reportedly stolen from an animal farm in Pennsylvania. A video apparently recorded Semyon Levit, leaving the farm with Blanche in his arms. Blanche was apparently dropped and not treated properly. This ForceChange petition brought attention to the farm to make sure more security is enforced at the farm to keep the animals safe.

Blanche was brought back after state police investigated and followed Levit’s car, where they reportedly discovered the bobcat being held in the trunk. Levit was charged with counts of burglary, theft, open lewdness, and animal cruelty. Blanche was healthy but had injuries to her claw from reportedly being dropped.

It is a great thing that Blanche was returned safe and that the farm owners understood that the person who stole her was potentially dealing with severe mental illness. Levit stated he just wanted to feed the bobcat and meant no harm. Noreen Lewis, the owner of the farm, said she hopes he receives the help he needs and that the farm wishes him the best for his future. On Facebook, the Pocono Snake and Animal Farm shared a video with the caption, “So with every day comes more good news with Blanche. She was completely back to her trusting self today and is full of love. For an elderly cat she has so many kitten moments.”

Sign below and thank the farm’s owner for protecting and caring for Blanche.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Noreen Lewis,

After the sad news of Blanche the bobcat reportedly being stolen, we are so happy to see her back at the farm happy and cared for. Seeing Blanche happy, healthy, and loved is extremely reassuring. We also thank you for releasing the video and making sure the public is aware she is being protected from anything like this happening again.

Thank you for keeping Blanche and all your animals safe and sound.

Sincerely,
