Success: Toxic Vehicle Emissions Reduced in Fight Against Climate Change

Target: EPA Administrator Michael Regan

Goal: Support the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) tighter fuel economy standards.

Vehicle emissions are a large contributor to greenhouse gases and climate change, but steps are being taken to combat their effect. Citizens called for change, like in this petition, and fortunately, a major new action towards combating global warming was announced this week.

On Monday EPA Administrator Michael Regan announced a new set of fuel economy standards to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, reversing weak Trump-era regulations. These regulations will reduce emissions from 5%-10%, and reduce carbon dioxide emissions to 132 parts per mile by 2026.

While this is not the end of the fight, this is a huge step towards an all-electric, zero-emissions future. Sign below to support this world-changing endeavor.

PETITION LETTER

Dear Administrator Regan,

The recent announcement by the EPA is an important step towards zero-emission vehicles in the U.S. While the fight is not nearly done, these tighter regulations will not only reduce climate change but improve public health and provide billions in savings.

Thank you for this vital step towards health and safety.

Sincerely,
