Success: World Leaders Align Against Climate Change

Target: Barack Obama, President of the United States of America

Goal: Praise President Obama and all of the world leaders for coming together to combat global warming.

World leaders have come together to form an alliance against global warming thanks in part to the ForceChange community. With greenhouse gas emissions at an all time high, this deal could not have come soon enough. Join us in praising President Obama and the 194 other world leaders for joining together to fix our planet.

The Paris Agreement focuses on utilizing alternative energy sources. We produce an overwhelming amount of carbon emissions in the United States. The production of electricity accounts for 37 percent of all carbon emissions in the nation. The additional output of 194 other nations brings the planet to catastrophic levels. Currently, the earth is resting just below a global temperature increase limit of 3.6 degrees Fahrenheit. If the earth’s temperature were to rise to this level, it would suffer inevitable long-term effects. Massive flooding, rising sea levels, severe drought, and destructive storms are only the beginning.

This deal will not save the planet, but it is a step forward. The terms predict that carbon emissions will decrease by half of the necessary amount. This gives world leaders more time to brainstorm a long-term solution. If successful, this deal will prevent the rise of carbon emissions and give the planet a chance to rejuvenate. Sign below to praise President Obama and all of the world leaders who have put their differences aside for the well-being of our planet.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear President Obama,

We would like to express our appreciation for your involvement in the Paris Agreement. While this is not a solution to global warming, it is a chance for the planet to rejuvenate. The 195 participants in these talks did well in putting their differences aside for the good of the Earth. We are grateful to all of them for their contribution.

Global warming is a serious threat to the planet. Excessive emissions of greenhouse gases throw off the balance of the atmosphere. If this were to continue, the planet would be irreparable within only a few years. Exploring alternative energy sources will cut carbon emissions to half of the necessary amount needed for survival and allow for further brainstorming efforts.

We praise you and all of the world leaders for your contributions to this landmark deal. Thanks to your cooperation, the earth will now have a fighting chance.

Sincerely,

[Your Name Here]
