Goal: Identify and prosecute the people filmed cornering a community dog and repeatedly beating it with a heavy wooden stick until it was immobilized.
A three-minute video shows a defenseless community dog trapped against a concrete wall while several people repeatedly strike the animal with a heavy wooden stick. The dog can be heard shrieking as blows land on its head and body. The attack continues until the animal becomes completely immobilized.
The footage circulated widely on social media and triggered a formal animal cruelty complaint. Magam Police subsequently registered FIR No. 57/2026 under applicable provisions of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act. Investigators are examining landmarks visible in the recording and using local intelligence to determine where the attack occurred. No suspect has yet been identified, and the people seen wielding the weapon remain at large.
Investigators should trace the original video, examine available metadata, identify recognizable landmarks, seek witness information, and follow every credible public tip. Once the attackers are identified, anyone supported by the evidence should face appropriate charges and meaningful penalties.
