Mutilated Cats and Rabbits Found Near Ritual Site: Find and Prosecute Their Killers

Target: Siam Boonsom, Commissioner, Metropolitan Police Bureau, Bangkok, Thailand

Goal: Identify and prosecute whoever captured, killed and mutilated stray cats and rabbits used in suspected ritual sacrifices near the Huai Khwang intersection.

Several stray cats and rabbits were discovered dead and mutilated in dark alleys surrounding the Huai Khwang intersection. Animal welfare activists linked the disturbing discoveries to suspected ritual sacrifices associated with a controversial local sculpture. Witnesses also reported seeing unidentified individuals capturing friendly street animals near the intersection late at night.

No suspect has been identified, and the case remains unresolved. The mutilated remains and witness accounts nevertheless provide investigators with avenues to establish what happened. Thailand’s animal welfare statutes prohibit certain forms of animal killing, yet the individuals responsible for these deaths remain unknown. The absence of an identified perpetrator makes effective nighttime surveillance especially important.

These animals depended on their community for safety. Police should examine available CCTV footage, interview witnesses and increase monitoring around locations where animals have disappeared or remains have been discovered. Investigators must determine whether the deaths were connected to ritual activity, identify whoever killed the animals and pursue appropriate prosecution if criminal wrongdoing is established.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Commissioner Siam,

Mutilated remains of stray cats and rabbits were discovered in alleys surrounding the Huai Khwang intersection. The deaths have raised concerns about suspected ritual animal sacrifices in the area. Witnesses also reported seeing unidentified people capturing friendly street animals near the intersection after dark.

No individual has been identified as responsible. Investigators should therefore follow the evidence without prematurely assigning blame. Surveillance footage from nearby buildings and roads, witness interviews and increased nighttime patrols could help establish who took the animals and whether their deaths were connected to ritual practices.

Please ensure that Metropolitan Police thoroughly investigate these disturbing deaths and strengthen surveillance around the affected area. Identify whoever captured, killed or mutilated these animals and establish the motive behind the incidents. If the evidence demonstrates violations of Thailand’s animal welfare laws, pursue appropriate charges and penalties. Friendly street animals should not disappear after dark only to be discovered mutilated in nearby alleys.

Sincerely,

[Your Name Here]
