Abandoning an animal is dangerous anywhere. Forcing a dog from a vehicle beside fast-moving interstate traffic creates an extraordinary risk of injury or death. Once identified, whoever was responsible should face serious prosecutorial consideration. The person who endangered this dog must face appropriate consequences under Michigan law.
