Authorities have intensified the search for a woman wanted on multiple counts of companion animal cruelty after allegations emerged that several dogs were abandoned inside a residence without access to food or water. Rescuers reportedly found the animals suffering from severe physical deterioration before emergency intervention by animal control officers.
The suspect allegedly failed to appear for scheduled court hearings and is currently considered a fugitive. Animal shelters caring for the rescued dogs began specialized “refeeding” therapy to stabilize the animals after prolonged deprivation.
