Man Allegedly Punched, Choked, and Slammed Dogs to Death: Seek Justice

Target: Donald W. Kleine, District Attorney of Douglas County, Nebraska

Goal: Prosecute the man allegedly caught on video kicking, choking, and slamming dogs to their death to the fullest extent of the law.

A horrifying case has emerged after a good samaritan submitted videos to authorities seemingly depicting a man kicking, punching, choking, and hurling dogs across a yard with brutality. According to reports, the footage also shows the man swinging dogs in circles by a leash attached to their neck collars and violently slamming them into the ground. One of the dogs — Apollo, a 10-year-old gray Chihuahua — was reportedly brought to the Nebraska Humane Society deceased, a victim of the very abuse captured on film.

According to authorities, the Nebraska Humane Society received the complaint in late January and, after reviewing the deeply disturbing footage, contacted the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office for assistance. The investigation identified the man in the videos as 22-year-old Freddy Garcia Jr. Following a search warrant executed at his residence, three dogs, three guinea pigs, a bearded dragon, an assortment of fish, and two cats were seized — raising grave concerns about the welfare of every animal in his care. Garcia Jr. was arrested and charged with three felony counts of intentional torture, mutilation, or beating of an animal.

The existence of video evidence seemingly documenting this abuse in graphic detail makes a strong and compelling case for the maximum prosecution under the law. The District Attorney must pursue the most serious possible charges and sentencing to deliver justice for Apollo and every other animal allegedly subjected to this reported cruelty.

PETITION LETTER:

DA Kleine,

We are writing to demand the fullest possible prosecution of a man arrested in connection with one of the most disturbing alleged animal torture cases in recent memory. According to reports, video evidence shows the accused kicking, punching, choking, throwing, and violently slamming at least three dogs — including swinging them in circles by a leash attached to their neck collars. One of those dogs, Apollo, a 10-year-old gray Chihuahua, was reportedly brought to the Nebraska Humane Society deceased, a direct victim of abuse.

The accused, Freddy Garcia Jr., has been charged with three felony counts of intentional torture, mutilation, or beating of an animal. While we are grateful that authorities acted swiftly, we are deeply concerned that these charges reflect only a fraction of the alleged suffering documented in the footage. Multiple animals were seized from his residence, suggesting the abuse may have extended far beyond what has been charged. Every animal in his care deserves justice.

We respectfully demand that your office pursue the maximum possible sentence on all charges and ensure that Freddy Garcia Jr. is permanently prohibited from owning or having contact with animals in the future. Apollo and the other animals allegedly subjected to torture cannot speak for themselves — we are asking you to speak for them.

Sincerely,

[Your Name Here]
