According to law enforcement, deputies and animal services officers executing a search warrant found numerous malnourished horses with little to no access to food or water, alongside the remains of animals believed to have died from prolonged neglect.
As reported by officials, veterinarians and animal services personnel were forced to triage surviving animals at the scene. Sixteen horses were reportedly rescued and transferred to professional care for rehabilitation, while additional animals allegedly had to be euthanized due to the severity of their condition. Authorities have stated that evaluations are ongoing because of the size of the property and the number of animals involved.
