Authorities have reported a deeply troubling animal cruelty investigation involving dogs allegedly left confined in crates without food or water. According to arrest records, animal services officers responding to a property found multiple dogs underweight, with parasites, and suffering from prolonged neglect. One dog was described as emaciated and struggling with serious untreated illness.
As reported, four dogs were discovered crated outdoors after a tenant had been evicted from the property, two of them underweight, several testing positive for hookworms, and one suffering from heartworm disease and eye discharge. Witnesses described shock at seeing the animal’s ribs visibly protruding, and neighbors stated the dogs had not been seen for months.
When animals are confined, deprived of food and water, and left to suffer untreated disease, the harm can be slow, painful and life-threatening. This petition calls for decisive prosecution and meaningful penalties to reflect the seriousness of the alleged neglect and to protect animals from similar suffering in the future.
