Demand Justice for Stray Dog Shot Dead and Hastily Buried

Target: Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang, Sikkim, India

Goal: Protect stray animals from cruelty and ensure justice for stray dog shot in the chest.

A 3-4-year-old stray dog was found shot on Kahi Road in India’s Sikkim, its body hastily buried until an anonymous tip led to its exhumation. A medical examination confirmed the dog had been shot in the chest. This incident, which animal rights activists brought to light, has ignited public outrage and demands for stronger legal protections for stray animals in Sikkim.

Animal activist Sagar Singh and Rebina Rai from People For Animals (PFA) Sikkim have played a crucial role in highlighting this case, despite initial local reluctance. A rally is being organized to condemn this act and raise awareness about the broader issue of animal abuse.

This tragic event underscores the urgent need for comprehensive legislation to protect stray animals from brutality. Create a safer and more compassionate environment for all animals in Sikkim.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear CM Tamang,

I am writing to express my deep concern regarding the recent tragic incident involving the shooting of a stray dog on Kahi Road. This situation has rightfully sparked outrage and calls for stronger animal protection laws in Sikkim. The 3-4-year-old dog was shot and hastily buried, only to be exhumed after an anonymous tip, revealing the severe cruelty inflicted upon it.

This case, brought to light by animal rights activists, highlights the need for immediate and comprehensive action to protect stray animals from such inhumane treatment. The community is uniting to condemn this act and demand justice for the innocent life lost.

I urge you to enact stricter legislation to safeguard stray animals and ensure that those who commit such acts of cruelty are held accountable. It is imperative that we create a legal framework that protects animals and reflects the values of compassion and justice.

Sincerely,

F**k INDIA, fast becoming one of the most cruel, brutal, sadistic and barbaric nation on this planet. The masses all appear to be totally psychotic, with NO compassion, NO empathy, NO decency, NO integrity and certainly NO MORAL ETHICS WHATSOEVER. It seems that the masses of INDIA couldn’t care less about the horrible, heinous atrocities being inflicted onto dogs especially. Gandhi would be thoroughly disgusted and ashamed of his ‘fellow countrymen’ as is the rest of the world.

  2. India … again! How brutal as this is men wanting to hurt and kill. Starts with animals, especially small ones. These men are bullies, or mentally disturbed by enjoying the act of killing. Men love to shoot and watch the pian they have inflicted and the dying process. It’s a shame they won’t be shown to the public in the same situation this dog was in. I hope KARMA exists and is much worse than ever imagined. These men deserve no less. If this was done by one man or two or more it is a crime without compassion. I wish the criminals were shown the same. India was once great but that country along with its greatness, died. Sadly.

India has a long, long way to go to achieve meaningful progress in human rights, women’s rights, equality, environmental protections and especially animal rights and welfare.
