Target: Mr. Lorrin Freeman, District Attorney of Wake County, North Carolina
Goal: Investigate and ensure strict penalties for individuals allegedly responsible for the neglect and hoarding of animals, and enforce stronger animal welfare regulations.
In Wake County, North Carolina, the SPCA rescued 38 cats and 10 dogs from an alleged hoarding situation. The animals were reportedly confined to stacked cages, with many suffering from old, untreated injuries or diseases. The caretaker, who reportedly started with good intentions, suffers from dementia, leaving her husband overwhelmed and apparently unable to properly care for the animals.
The SPCA emphasized the importance of kindness and compassion in understanding the situation, noting that the husband reached out for help under difficult circumstances. Thanks to the SPCA’s intervention and the community’s support, the animals are now on their way to brighter futures. Take stringent measures to hold individuals accountable for alleged neglect and ensure the well-being of the rescued animals.

A recent case in Wake County, North Carolina, has brought to light a deeply troubling instance of alleged animal neglect. The SPCA of Wake County rescued 38 cats and 10 dogs from a home where they were reportedly confined to stacked cages, many suffering from untreated injuries or diseases. Sincerely,

Seems as if everyone has an excuse. But abuse is abuse even if you don’t know where you live. Alzheimers is horrible. Both the man and woman have the same disease? They have no right to keep animals. They don’t recall anything and certainly can not care for animals or themselves either. Please take these animals away and do not allow them to keep anymore. It’s sad when this disease takes everything from you but still someone with this disease may not own animals as this harm will befall them even though they meant to do well.
