Police Officer Who Allegedly Abused Dog Needs Prison Sentence

Target: Adair Ford Boroughs, State Attorney for South Carolina

Goal: Give police officer prison sentence for allegedly keeping her sick dog locked inside crate.

A police officer named Amanda Ross was charged with animal cruelty after pictures allegedly showed a malnourished dog that she owned standing inside a crate filled with waste. If these allegations are proven true it is important she spend time in jail to make it clear that such mistreatment by a law enforcement officer will not be tolerated.

Ross’s attorney—Ryan James–is arguing that Ross and her husband had to keep the dog inside the crate when the animal suddenly became sick because the dog was not able to control bowel movements. Unfortunately, the dog’s accidents were thought to be a direct result of severe heart worm disease. According to James, the animal was only put down after they learned about the dog’s illness and determined that treatment was not affordable.

James states that there is no statute in place to punish people for having a lack of resources. While this may be true, a person should think about all future expenses before obtaining a pet. Furthermore, keeping an animal locked inside a small crate to avoid the consequences of a medical problem should never be considered acceptable. Surrendering an animal to a reputable shelter or rescue group that may be able to provide the pet with the appropriate care is also a likely option in such times of distress. Sign this petition to demand Ross receive prison time if she is found guilty of allowing this innocent animal to needlessly suffer and die.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear State Attorney Boroughs,

Amanda Ross, who is currently serving as a police officer, was charged with animal cruelty after it was reported her dog was emaciated and kept inside a filthy crate. The animal appeared to be standing to avoid lying down in waste.

Her attorney said that she and her husband chose to euthanize the dog because they could not afford to treat the dog’s heart worm disease. He therefore states that she should not be punished since vet care was not affordable. This argument is absurd since someone should strongly think about related expenses before getting a pet. Additionally, choosing to keep an animal locked inside a dirty crate for long periods of time to avoid a medical issue may be considered animal abuse. Furthermore, reaching out to a rescue organization or animal shelter may also be a viable option when one cannot afford pet care.

I therefore demand you suggest Ross be fired and that she be given the maximum sentence if it is discovered this dog suffered and died while under her care to send a clear message that animal abuse is never acceptable, especially by an individual who has taken an oath to uphold the law.

Sincerely,

[Your Name Here]

Lock her up in a cage and leave her in it to rot!

  2. Policewoman Amanda Kaitlyn Ross is, in her day-to-day work, a mean-spirited ogre. Simply, she has a mean heart. And, IMO she acts like a mean bitch. In my experience, if it walks & talks like a duck, it’s a duck.

The following paragraph is public info and in the public domain.
There’s now a criminal record for her on the SC Courts’ Greenville Public Index (case # 5714) which displays Ross’ physical address (15 Mendham Lane, Greer SC), her birth year (1989), gender (F) & race (W) — and that Ross Requests a Jury Trial.

The home Ross and her husband reside in at Greer SC is valued at Over $300,000 US Dollars. I do Hope & Pray she pleads innocent because she was too destitute to afford Her poor dog’s vet treatment. If I were on that jury, such a claim of destitution wouldn’t hold water. Also, Ross is a liability for GPD and should be first reduced in rank, then summarily dismissed with prejudice. Nobody likes an animal abuser; even those who aren’t big fans of dogs. If Ross shares that address with another Adult (her husband) — then why hasn’t that Husband also been criminally charged with Animal Abuse??

HANG HER. STOP WASTING MY TAX DOLLARS.

  4. Seems BOTH Greenville Police Dept officer Amanda Kaitlyn Ross and her husband Donald D. Ross are each facing Animal Abuse charges alleged by Greer Police Dept. Confirmed by referencing SC Courts’ public index for Greenville county And for City of Greer SC.

Their residence address at 15 Mendham LN Greer SC is NOW up FOR SALE; I verified same. One week ago, it was Not yet listed. Once her residence address was published by the Courts; I’m not surprised in the least. Perhaps others have encouraged her/her husband to flee that address?
As for officer Amanda’s marriage to her bad-pay no-pay husband Donald (see Public Index Greenville County for cases of not paying junk debt buyers of his defaulted CC/ bank cards) — I won’t be surprised if we see filings in the Family Courts as well. I hope Officer Ross in canned by GPD (but doubt it) and pray she will relocate far away from South Carolina. In an abandoned septic tank might be a little too good for the likes of her.
