Demand Justice for Chicken Allegedly Killed by High School Baseball Team

Target: Marc Bennett, District Attorney of Sedgwick County, Kansas

Goal: Ensure legal consequences for the alleged animal cruelty by Valley Center High School’s baseball team.

Disturbing allegations have surfaced from Valley Center, Kansas, where the high school baseball team reportedly engaged in an act of animal cruelty. Prior to an away game on April 20, members of the team, under the apparent supervision of their coaches, allegedly killed a chicken on the school’s baseball diamond. This shocking incident calls for urgent legal scrutiny and action to uphold justice and animal welfare standards.

Further details suggest the incident was part of a pre-game ritual, now under investigation by local authorities. The baseball team’s season remains suspended as the community and school grapple with the implications of such actions. This event not only raises concerns about the ethical upbringing of our youth but also underlines the potential links between early acts of cruelty and future violence, as noted by educational and psychological studies.

The demand for justice is not just about punishing alleged wrongdoing; it’s about affirming our societal values that reject cruelty and embrace compassion. Introducing humane education, as suggested by TeachKind, is a step forward, but it cannot replace the need for accountability. Ensure that such acts, if proven, are met with appropriate legal consequences to deter future instances and foster a culture of empathy.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear DA Marc Bennett,

We are deeply concerned about the recent allegations involving the Valley Center High School baseball team, where players, reportedly under coach supervision, reportedly engaged in the killing of a chicken as part of a pre-game ritual. Such acts of cruelty not only breach legal statutes governing animal welfare but also violate the ethical standards expected within educational environments.

This incident, currently under investigation, highlights a potentially disturbing disregard for life that must be addressed. Research suggests a correlation between early acts of cruelty towards animals and subsequent violent behaviors. It’s imperative that our legal system responds accordingly to prevent potential future harm to our community.

We urge your office to take swift action. If these allegations are substantiated, we demand that all individuals involved face the fullest extent of the law. Implementing such measures will serve as a deterrent against similar future acts and will reinforce the importance of compassion and respect for all beings.

Sincerely,

[Your Name Here]

  1. Seems like they gave a live sacrifice in exchange to win a baseball game. Sounds more like devil worshiping than Christian worship. Taking bets the coaches are Christian and republican.

  2. America needs a legal system which works for the innocent. This chicken need not have suffered. The boys were in on this and the coaches too? Coaches need to be fired. The boys involved need to get out of baseball. They are not school players, they are in mental distress. This will go on their permanent record. In America we need legal system that says what it means and means what it says. We all know the law, right from wrong, therefore we are considered sane. This action is totally INSANE! This school needs help, the players need help but mostly the legal system must step forward to finally charge these bastards, teen though they may be. To not show some guts will enforce our society to continue having killer teens in our midst. If we don’t have strong laws and ENFORCE them, plus arrest the parents as they guide these teens we will continue to shake our heads and wonder why.

  3. Such cruel rituals must never be condoned. Clearly, it is one of the most dangerous and fast methods to spread cruelty and sadism among the youths. Being compassionate, respectful of life, displaying kindness to animals are the right tools to creating a better and peaceful future, Please stop them from spreading and polluting the enviroment and society with evil.
