Goal: Applaud the suspension of oil and gas leasing on federal lands and oceans.
President Biden has signed several executive orders to address the climate crisis. One of which was a halt of oil and gas leasing on federal lands and oceans. Biden also has plans to review current leases and promises to prioritise mitigation of the climate and ecological crisis.
This is the first step to reducing greenhouse gas emissions to net zero and is a thrilling success for several campaigns fighting to ban onshore and offshore drilling. In this ForceChange petition, attention was brought to a gas and oil drill leasing program in a National Arctic Wildlife Refuge. With all the pressure on Biden, he has stuck to his climate promise, giving new hope to the nation and to the world.

I am overjoyed that President Biden took the action to stop the massive oil drilling which was done under the previous administration. Earth is suffering and climate is an issue we must all deal with both now and in the future. This action helps enormously and I am very grateful!!!!!
