Target: Susan Wojcicki, CEO of YouTube
Goal: Praise YouTube for pulling down and banning content posted by hate groups and supremacists.
YouTube will be removing and banning all hateful content from their website, including but not limited to Holocaust denial and anti-LGBT sentiments. The site has long been home to many a controversial video or user, many of whom say cruel and hateful things solely to gain views and media attention.
In the past, users have criticized the site heavily for turning a blind eye to such horrific content, as some accounts would deliberately court controversy by siding with hate groups or crushing animals to death. YouTube took the first step in the right direction by heeding demands to remove graphic footage of the New Zealand shooting as petitions like this one circulated the internet, and now they will be removing all equally disturbing content.
With hate crimes and groups on the rise within the past few years, it is imperative that such people are denied the right to harass and threaten others, or deny that atrocities such as the Holocaust or Sandy Hook shooting happened. Sign this petition to thank YouTube for removing such content.
PETITION LETTER:
Dear Ms. Wojcicki,
Thank you for removing all hateful content from your website. For the past several years, hate groups and cruel individuals have been using the platform to harass and threaten the lives of people based on their religion, race, sexual orientation, gender, or political views.
Your company has been criticized for turning a blind eye to such things, but you have proven yourself capable of heeding consumer concerns quite well; first by removing New Zealand shooting footage, and now by removing all disturbing and hateful videos meant to harm others. Thank you for removing and banning such videos from your site.
Sincerely,
[Your Name Here]

Bravo! – hope you also forbid videos on ‘animal cruelty’as though they were funny, inviting others to follow their example!
