Further disturbing revelations include allegations of gruesome treatment of animals, with an employee killing pigeons used in the show by decapitating them while still conscious. The case of a distressed pigeon that reportedly died after being left unattended for hours highlights the negligence seemingly rampant at BAU. Additionally, a pig named Lewis allegedly suffered for over a week without veterinary assistance after being “retired” from his performance duties.
