According to officials, the animal had a visible spine, hips and shoulder bones, indicating what investigators described as extreme weight loss.
When authorities entered the apartment, they allegedly discovered floors covered with dog feces and urine in multiple rooms. Investigators also indicated that the dog may have been left inside the residence for many days without basic care.
