Target: Chadchart Sittipunt, Governor, Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, Thailand
Goal: Ensure full criminal prosecution, permanent seizure of surviving animals, and enforcement action against all individuals responsible for alleged abuse and neglect.
Multiple viral videos surfaced online allegedly showing a man violently abusing cats inside a commercial cat café. The footage, shared publicly by an animal protection organisation, reportedly shows the man throwing a cat against a wall, repeatedly kicking another, and gripping a cat by the neck before striking it on the head.
Animal welfare groups further reported that the abuse was not limited to physical violence. Cats at the facility were allegedly starved and neglected, with several found severely underweight, suffering from fungal infections, and showing signs of prolonged illness. During an official inspection, authorities reportedly observed the cats rushing toward food, suggesting they had been deprived for an extended period.
Following a formal complaint, officials raided the premises. The facility had already shut down prior to the inspection. According to animal welfare representatives, the suspect admitted to abusing the animals and stated willingness to face legal proceedings. Nineteen cats were subsequently removed and transferred for medical treatment, rehabilitation, and rehoming.
Additional complaints have since emerged alleging that sick animals were sold to customers under false assurances of good health, raising concerns of systemic cruelty, consumer deception, and prolonged animal suffering. Sign below to demand justice in this disturbing case.
PETITION LETTER:
Dear Governor Sittipunt,
We are writing to express serious concern regarding a case in which a man was allegedly filmed abusing and starving cats inside a commercial animal facility. The videos circulating publicly appear to show acts of extreme violence, including throwing, kicking, and striking cats, alongside evidence of prolonged neglect and starvation.
Animal welfare organisations have reported that numerous cats were found in poor physical condition, suffering from illness, malnutrition, and lack of veterinary care. Following official intervention, the animals were removed for urgent medical treatment. The alleged abuse, combined with reports of selling sick animals to the public, raises grave concerns about enforcement failures and animal welfare oversight.
We respectfully urge your office to ensure that this case is pursued to the fullest extent of the law, that all responsible individuals are held accountable, and that the animals are permanently protected from being returned to a seemingly abusive environment. Strong enforcement is essential to deter future cruelty and uphold public trust.
Sincerely,
[Your Name Here]
