Penalize Man Who Allegedly Attempted Sex Act With Animal

Target: Heather L. Adams, District Attorney of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania

Goal: Pursue maximum penalties, a long-term no-animal-contact order, and mandatory counseling for the suspect who allegedly attempted a sexual act with an animal.

Police opened a months-long investigation after a man was allegedly seen attempting to engage in lewd behavior with an animal, and a suspect has now been identified. The individual will be charged with indecent exposure and open lewdness after he was allegedly observed on multiple occasions in proximity to the same animal. These allegations describe a disturbing pattern that, if proven, represents extreme exploitation of a defenseless creature.

Witness accounts and surveillance reportedly prompted renewed appeals to the public before identification. Officials further alleged that the same suspect was later seen again with the same animal. Such repeated, allegedly predatory conduct heightens concerns for the animal’s safety and for community welfare, especially when the conduct involves apparent sexualized abuse.

Strong enforcement is essential to prevent future harm. Prosecutors should, upon conviction, seek the toughest appropriate sentence, a lengthy (ideally lifetime) prohibition on owning, keeping, or living with animals, court-ordered psychological evaluation and treatment specific to sexual offending and animal cruelty, restitution for any veterinary costs, and community service benefitting animal welfare. Humane laws only protect animals when alleged offenders face serious consequences.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear District Attorney Adams,

A suspect was identified following a months-long investigation into alleged lewd conduct with an animal with charges of indecent exposure and open lewdness forthcoming. The allegations indicate the suspect was seen attempting to engage in inappropriate behavior with the same animal on more than one occasion, suggesting a troubling pattern that, if proven, places a vulnerable being at risk.

When animals are allegedly targeted for sexualized abuse, the community expects a firm, transparent response. Repeated, reportedly predatory conduct towards a defenseless creature demands a prosecutorial approach that prioritizes deterrence, accountability, and protection.

We respectfully urge your office to pursue the maximum lawful penalties upon conviction, along with a long-term no-animal-contact order, mandated counseling and risk-focused treatment, restitution for any care costs, and meaningful community service with reputable animal-welfare entities. These steps will help ensure that this alleged conduct is met with consequences commensurate with the harm and that other animals are safeguarded.

Sincerely,

[Your Name Here]
