Grammy-Nominated Singer’s Dogs Reportedly Found Starving: Demand Strict Punishment

Target: Fani Willis, District Attorney of Fulton County, Georgia

Goal: Secure the maximum lawful sentence and a lifetime animal-ownership ban for the individual who allegedly kept emaciated dogs in filthy confinement.

Grammy-nominated R&B artist Jaheim Hoagland has been charged with six counts of animal cruelty after officers reportedly discovered six dogs—ranging from tiny ten-week-old puppies to adult pit bulls—crammed inside an RV. According to the arrest affidavit, one young dog was “severely emaciated,” its ribs protruding through the skin, while others showed signs of neglect and malnourishment. Officers allege that Hoagland initially obstructed their investigation, providing false contact information before the animals were finally seized.

This incident comes on the heels of a 2021 New Jersey case in which 15 dogs were allegedly found living in “deplorable conditions” in Hoagland’s home. Despite this alarming history, he was reportedly free on bond within a day of the most recent arrest. The repeated nature of the accusations raises serious concerns about the welfare of any animals who might come under his control in the future.

Animal neglect not only inflicts unimaginable suffering on innocent creatures but also undermines public trust in the legal system when penalties are too light to deter repeat offenses. Sign below to demand that the court impose every available sanction, including a prohibition on future pet ownership and mandatory psychological counseling to the person found guilty in this case.

PETITION LETTER:

District Attorney Willis,

Police reports indicate that six dogs removed from an RV belonging to Grammy-nominated performer Jaheim Hoagland were malnourished, with one so thin that his rib cage protruded visibly. Additional allegations describe puppies and adult dogs confined in unsanitary, cramped crates, deprived of proper food and care. These shocking claims follow an earlier case in which 15 dogs were reputedly discovered living in squalid conditions in the same individual’s New Jersey residence.

Such a disturbing pattern of apparent indifference to animal welfare demands a firm prosecutorial response. Companion animals cannot speak for themselves; they rely on the justice system to shield them from cruelty. Allowing a repeat offender leniency risks further suffering for other animals and sends the message that blatant neglect carries minimal consequences.

We respectfully urge your office to pursue the highest possible sentence, including incarceration, substantial fines, compulsory mental-health evaluation, and—most critically—a lifetime ban on owning or supervising animals. Only a decisive penalty can safeguard future pets and underscore that Fulton County stands firmly against animal abuse.

Sincerely,

In addition to the six animal cruelty charges Jaheim Hoagland must pay for all the veterinarian’s and hospital bills required to bring the six dogs to a healthy condition and donate a huge amount of money to the shelter that will take the six dogs .
