Imprison Couple Who Purportedly Neglected and Illegally Bred Dogs

Target: Brian C.T. Jones, District Attorney for Limstone County, Alabama

Goal: Send people to prison for allegedly neglecting and illegally breeding dogs.

Dogs were allegedly found living in squalor without any evidence of ever having had any medical treatment. It is important that the people who are reportedly responsible for these animals’ mistreatment receive lengthy prison sentences to better ensure more dogs will not needlessly suffer.
Police surmise that the couple was using quite a few dogs to maintain a large-scale illegal breeding business. The people thought to be responsible for the welfare of these animals were both charged with 38 counts of combined animal cruelty and neglect. They are further both separately being held on a $38,000 bond. Luckily, the dogs are OK and will be put up for adoption next week.

Approximately 390,000 dogs are euthanized each year in United States kill shelters. Breeding dogs illegally only serves to make it so even more dogs will end up in a broken system, better ensuring that they will have to be put down instead of being placed inside loving homes. Sign this petition to demand the couple reportedly responsible for abusing and neglecting these dogs receive the maximum legal sentence to hopefully make it so even more innocent animals will not get lost and forgotten in an already broken system.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear District Attorney Jones,

After thoroughly investigating, authorities suspect that a local couple was responsible for neglecting, abusing, and breeding large amount of dogs for the purpose of making a profit. They must spend time in prison if it is found they are responsible for treating these animals in this unfit and cruel manner.

According to reports, they had been operating their illegal breeding establishment for a long period of time. Due to the animals’ seemingly deplorable conditions, both individuals were charged with 38 counts of animal cruelty as well as neglect. They are each being held on a $38,000 bond. Luckily, the animals are OK and will soon be available for adoption.

Almost 400,000 dogs are put down each year in the United States as a result of shelters being too full to care for them. Illegal breeding operations makes it more likely the dogs rescued from these facilities will be forced to face the same fate. For these reasons, I demand you suggest the couple suspected of breeding and mistreating these animals be given no mercy under law if they are found guilty so that other dogs will be less likely to suffer and die pointless deaths.

Sincerely,

[Your Name Here]
