What a selfish act of cruelty. Would it have been so difficult to take them to a shelter to have a chance to live with people who would love and care for them? When you begin to age and no one wishes to care for you, perhaps the same fate you gave those puppies will be given to you out of “convenience” That would be a tragedy.

This was an amishman named John Stoltzfus from New Holland. His case is dragging along in the local (Lancaster County) court system. The incident happened a year ago. Not sure where it stands currently.
Yep. Stoltzfus is a VERY common family name in Amish territory. I live in PA and these people are HORRIBLE to animals.

I know Stoltzfus is a very common name in Lancaster County. I forget his exact address. Perhaps you could call the Lancaster County DA’s office and get his information? Or go online to get it? I am not sure exactly where though. Court dockets are public information, aren’t they? This all started in April 2024. And (not surprisingly) his court date kept being pushed back.
Plus he even had named them. They all had names beginning with the letter M. They were listed but this was a year ago and I forgot. They were 4 months old. Which makes this even more inconceivable. He (and they)had established a relationship with each other.
Yes – unfortunately with the punishment so weak for animal cruelty (not profitable – disgusting) we need to find out who exactly did this and locate them and as you say hit them with your idea of punishment.

Lisabella, next time you make an inference please share actual proof and facts so that the appropriate and accurate action will be taken. I am familiar with the “Amish” as some of my early ancestors were Pennsylvania Dutch .and many are very good kind people and some aren’t; just like every other religious and cultural affiliation. I am able to understand why you stated that Republicans are responsible in charge as many conservative lawmakers (mainly MAGA), do not care about prosecuting animal rights abusers or strongly punishing animal rights abuses, this is fact. Again please be more specific to “who” exactly are the actual perpetrators are responsible, and “which”political figures in positions of authority are not doing their jobs. Many Republicans are fighting for justice for non humans and humans alike. Proven animal abusers — from neglect, mistreatment, hoarding, breeding, and abandonement, to fighting, bestiality, torture, mutilation, and murder — should, without exception, be punished by: (1) Their names and crimes being entered in the FBI’s National Incident-Based Reporting System (NIBRS) and in a centralized database of convicted animal abusers which every US State should have but only Tennessee does. Widespread adoption of these databases would be a game-changer in preventing crime against nonhumans. (2) A lifelong ban on owning or being near nonhuman animals in any capacity. (3) Payment of all veterinary, boarding, legal, and rehabilitation expenses, with confiscation of the perpetrator/s’ property if necessary.
