Hold Farm Accountable for Apparently Keeping Animals Without Food or Water in Freezing Conditions

Target: Ray Tierney, District Attorney, Suffolk County, New York

Goal: Pursue fair legal action against those reportedly responsible for leaving over 100 animals malnourished, injured, and in dire conditions

Authorities apparently discovered hundreds of creatures, including horses, dogs, pigs, sheep, and other farm animals, living in what was described as shocking neglect. Many were reportedly suffering in sub-zero temperatures without adequate food or water, and some were allegedly found deceased. Investigators claim these animals experienced severe medical issues—such as tumors, dental disease, emaciation, and untreated wounds—while lacking proper veterinary care.

Disturbing reports indicate that even animals categorized as “rescued” or “sanctuaried” may have been left to fend for themselves in unsanitary or otherwise unsafe environments. Some apparently endured advanced stages of neglect, like overgrown hooves and nails, matting, and visible respiratory infections. Such widespread alleged mistreatment raises grave concerns about the well-being of these defenseless living beings.

Stronger enforcement of animal welfare laws, along with substantial penalties for those allegedly accountable, could help ensure that future animals are not subjected to such suffering. By holding all implicated parties fully responsible for any cruelty uncovered, communities can demonstrate that inhumane treatment will not be tolerated. Demand that every measure be taken to seek justice for these voiceless victims.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Mr. Tierney,

An investigation reportedly uncovered hundreds of animals—ranging from cows and horses to peacocks and dogs—living in miserable conditions, deprived of adequate care, and in some cases found deceased. Many of these creatures appeared to suffer from severe neglect, with alarming signs of malnutrition, overgrown hooves and nails, and serious medical problems left untreated.

When these animals are entrusted to the care of others, they deserve protection and humane living conditions. Allegations of substandard shelter, lack of fresh water, and insufficient veterinary attention point to a potentially grave failure that demands immediate and decisive action.

We urge you to seek the maximum legal consequences for anyone found responsible and to enforce rigorous standards that will help prevent similar tragedies. By demonstrating a strong commitment to animal welfare, your office can send a clear message that cruelty and neglect will not go unpunished.

Sincerely,

[Your Name Here]
