I watched a story on a real life incident that took place several years ago that happened in Tennessee. There was a man who along with his dog and family drove into a gas station to fill up. While at the pump he became distracted by a person parked in a vehicle in the opposite lane who complimented him on what a beautiful dog he had. The man was proud of his pet and took out his wallet to get a picture of his dog out whom he showed the individual at the other pump. He got distracted and thought that he had put his wallet away but it was still sitting on top of the roof of his car where he had laid it. Forgetting that it was there, he got back into the drivers seat and started to drive off. The person that he had just spoken and showed his dog’s picture to had pulled away before right before he was leaving, and another car pulled up just a he was driving off. Since he had just got paid and he had cashed his check, his wallet was stuffed with mostly small bills but a lot of dollars was in his wallet. The wallet went flying off of the car and the bills went blowing out all over the place so the woman in the car that had just pulled up seeing this thought that he had “robbed the local bank.” She immediately called the cops and stated that this man had so much money that he had just robbed a bank.” After describing the man and his car to the police a chase ensued and they caught up to the man and ordered him to stop. He stopped and tried to comply but the overzealous cop demanded that he “calm down” as the cop was threatening his dog which was excited and barking trying to protect his owner. The man was freaking out yelling to the cop to “please don’t hurt my dog !!!“ The cop then opened fire shooting and killing his dog in front of him, his wife and children. The man was white. If I had to live through something like this I would fucking kill myself.
