Horse Attacked by Masked Men With a Baseball Bat Deserve Justice

Target: Andrew Barr, Chief Minister of the Australian Capital Territory

Goal: Ensure thorough investigation and prosecution of individuals responsible for attacking horses.

A disturbing incident has been reported in which a group of males wearing Halloween costumes attacked horses with a baseball bat at Arawang Paddock in the Australian Capital Territory. The attack occurred around 9:30 pm on October 31, 2024. Later that evening, the owners found their horses with a sticky substance on them, indicating abuse. While the horses were not seriously injured, such acts of cruelty cause significant distress and pose a threat to animal welfare.

Animal cruelty is a serious offense that not only harms innocent animals but also undermines the safety and moral fabric of the community. It is imperative that authorities conduct a thorough investigation to identify and prosecute those responsible for this act. Prevent future incidents and protect animals from harm.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear CM Barr,

I am writing to express my deep concern regarding the incident of animal cruelty that took place at Arawang Paddock on October 31, 2024. A group of males wearing Halloween costumes allegedly attacked horses with a baseball bat. The owners later found their horses with a sticky substance on them, suggesting that the animals were subjected to abuse. While it is a relief that the horses were not seriously injured, the psychological trauma and potential for harm are significant.

Animal cruelty is unacceptable and violates the principles of compassion and respect that our society upholds. Such acts not only cause unnecessary suffering to animals but may also indicate a propensity for further violent behavior. It is crucial that this matter is investigated thoroughly and that those responsible are held accountable under the law.

I urge you to prioritize this case and ensure that appropriate legal action is taken against the individuals involved. By doing so, you will reinforce the importance of animal welfare and demonstrate a commitment to justice and the protection of all beings within our community.

Sincerely,

[Your Name Here]

I really can’t understand for the life of me why anybody would feel the need to go beat up a horse.

We have so many illegal migrants in our country and where they come from they’re heathens look at their countries look at how they beat down their dogs how they eat animals how they mistreat them so now they’re here and they want to do that to our animals I won’t stand for it and nobody should stand for in our country now that Trump is President thank God hopefully, things will start getting better for animals and we will get these heathens out of our country that do not belong here

Let’s be careful with requests for restrictive, criminal laws, based only on confinement to solve problems. This is not necessarily the right solution or especially the only solution (statistics reveal 60% repeat offenses regardless of the offense or crime), education is the priority, public utility sentences such as an obligation to work in animal rescue or care centers could educate offenders to be more empathetic!

Let’s not forget that WHAT IS LEGAL IS NOT NECESSARILY MORAL.
_ The Holocaust was legal, hiding Jews was repressed.
_ Slavery was legal, freeing slaves was repressed.
_ Segregation was legal, protesting against racism was repressed.
_ The ecocide of multinationals is legal, rebelling against the destruction of life is repressed.

  3. Please tighten your animal laws to protect all animals from all kinds of abuses. Heavier penalties that include public caning are good deterrents.=)
