Stop Reportedly Forcing Animals into Bloody Fights for Entertainment

Target: Revanth Reddy, Chief Minister of Telangana

Goal: Prosecute those allegedly responsible for organizing cruel ram- and bullfights and ensure protection for the animals.

In Hyderabad, rams and bulls were allegedly forced into brutal fights for entertainment and gambling, suffering severe physical injuries and psychological distress. These innocent animals were allegedly hit, goaded, and provoked using painful methods to incite violence, leading to bloody confrontations where they fought until one was deemed the winner.

The People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) India filed a complaint against multiple individuals for allegedly organizing and conducting these cruel events. Based on the complaint, the Nagole police registered a case under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act. PETA India urged authorities to locate the rams and bulls and ensure they are protected from exploitation and suffering.

These alleged acts of animal cruelty highlight a blatant disregard for the welfare of animals and violate existing laws meant to protect them. Those allegedly responsible must be held accountable to prevent such inhumane practices from continuing. Take swift and decisive action to prosecute the organizers and ensure the safety and well-being of the animals.
