Cat Reportedly Kicked and Set on Fire Deserves Justice

Target: Damien M. Diggs, US Attorney for the Eastern District of Texas

Goal: Ensure that all individuals responsible for the abuse and torture of a cat are held fully accountable and advocate for stronger penalties for acts of extreme animal cruelty.

A deeply disturbing case of animal cruelty has emerged from Beaumont, Texas, where 30-year-old Donaldvan Williams was sentenced to over three years in prison for kicking a sick cat 20 feet through the air as if kicking a football. The incident occurred when Williams, along with a friend, Decorius Mire, came across the suffering feline in an apartment complex parking lot. The cat had been convulsing and foaming at the mouth, presumably from poisoning, when Mire dared Williams to kick it, and he did so with horrifying force. The cruel act was caught on video and shared on social media.

Mire, who filmed the attack, was sentenced last year to 18 months in prison. However, the torment of the cat did not end there. A third individual, who remains unidentified, reportedly poured accelerant on the already injured cat and set it on fire. Mire filmed this horrific scene as the cat, engulfed in flames, tried to escape.

Despite the guilty pleas from Williams and Mire, the courts have not yet brought charges related to the reported setting of the cat on fire. It remains unclear whether the cat survived the unimaginable torment. This case is a glaring reminder of the need for strict consequences for acts of animal cruelty and the importance of holding all involved accountable. Ensure everyone involved is prosecuted.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear US Attorney Damien M. Diggs,

I am writing to express my concern and outrage over the horrifying case of animal cruelty that occurred in Beaumont, Texas, where a cat was subjected to extreme torture by Donaldvan Williams and Decorius Mire. While Williams has been sentenced to over three years in prison and Mire received 18 months for his role in the incident, I urge you to ensure that all individuals involved in this cruel act are held fully accountable.

The video, which showed Williams kicking a sick cat 20 feet through the air, followed by an unidentified individual reportedly setting the cat on fire, is deeply disturbing. While the courts have addressed the actions of Williams and Mire, the person seemingly responsible for setting the cat on fire remains uncharged. This reported act of cruelty, also filmed and shared on social media, is just as reprehensible and must be met with swift legal consequences.

As US Attorney, I urge you to pursue further investigation and legal action against all individuals responsible for this horrific crime. Animal cruelty is a serious offense, and it is essential that justice is served not only for the initial acts but for the entire series of abuses inflicted on this poor cat.

Sincerely,

[Your Name Here]

  1. Two men this evil don’t deserve to live. I can’t believe it’s the same cat. How do things happen which are so hurtful to innocent animals. To film something like this is horrible and to do it even more horrible. Neither of these men should ever walk free in society again. Society doesn’t want them! They are probably young but that only means more years to do more evil. They need to be set on fire and not helped. They didn’t help the cat and it burned to death. Do not allow these freaks to be free. Have them take a mental assessment test as they may have to live their lives in a mental asylum. Place a life long ban on them so neither can ever own, work with, or be near any animals for the rest of their wicked lives.

This is monstrous and those assailants all should be tracked down, tried, improsoned, and put in the prison system for as many years as possible. I am ashamed and outraged.

  3. Give these insane killers the same treatment as this defenseless cat. Make them suffer greatly and then set them on fire. That kind should be destroyed because it has no value!!!

  4. Lesley Rodgers says:

I have said before and say it again, the younger generation seem to be devoid of humanity, compassion or any moral compass, and I blame feckless parents who do not teach children right from wrong any more, and the INTERNET and MOBILE PHONES. These inventions have turned people into nasty, evil brutes, especially youths and young men. This would never have happened in my day when there was NO INTERNET! Most people used to be compassionate, but not any more. Anyone who could do that to an innocent cat is an evil ba#t@rd who deserves to be executed. That poor cat obviously could not have survived this torture and must have died in agony. If there were any justice, those thugs would be tortured to death too, an eye for an eye.

Just leave this pair of psychotic, deranged POS in jail to rot, or better still, hand them over to a group of animal lovers, they’ll make sure they get a PROPER punishment…..perhaps leaving their putrid carcasses to rot.

  6. Alice K Knight says:

All three should be given serious prison time! The ordeal in which this innocent living being was tortured, how dare they.
I hope there is decency in the judicial system and the judge presiding will not turn a blind ear to what they have done.
set a precedent to others that this act of cruelty is unacceptable, unforgiving and inhumane.
