Camel Allegedly Mutilated by Landlord and Servants Deserves Justice

Target: Mr. Syed Murad Ali Shah, Chief Minister of Sindh, Pakistan

Goal: Investigate and ensure strict penalties for individuals allegedly responsible for mutilating a camel, and enforce stronger animal welfare regulations.

From Sindh province of Pakistan, a shocking incident of suspected animal cruelty has come to light. A landlord, Rustum Shar, and five of his servants were reportedly arrested for chopping off the leg of a camel that trespassed on his field seeking fodder. The gruesome incident apparently occurred in Mund Jamrao village, Sanghar district. Shar allegedly shared a video clip proudly holding the camel’s mutilated leg, which caused widespread outrage on social media.

The camel’s owner, peasant Soomar Behan, did not initially report the matter to the police. However, authorities contacted him after the video went viral. The camel has since been moved to the Comprehensive Disaster Response Services (CDRS) shelter in Karachi. According to Secretary Livestock Kazim Jato, following instructions from Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, a prosthetic leg for the animal is being arranged from Dubai.

This incident underscores the urgent need for strict enforcement of animal welfare laws. Prevent such alleged abuses and ensure the well-being of animals.

Poor innocent camel! Please send all these sadists to jail and ensure that they never get to lay their filty hands on another animal again. Tighten and step up animal welfare/protection laws to include max penalties by giving physical punishment ..by flogging/whipping their hands, backs or buttocks to prevent such gruesome cruelty from happening again.
