Cochise County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a call about an unattended trailer blocking traffic at Hargis Ranch Road and Dakota Road in Hereford. Upon inspection, deputies allegedly found ten dogs inside the trailer without water or air circulation. The trailer was reportedly extremely hot and cluttered, presenting inhumane conditions for the animals.
A male subject identified the trailer’s owner as 27-year-old Anna Fuller, who owned nine of the ten dogs. One dog belonged to the male subject and was temporarily placed in his custody. The remaining dogs, including two adults and seven three-week-old puppies, were impounded per court order and taken to the Douglas Animal Shelter.
The following day, on June 12, Fuller was taken into custody and charged with 40 counts of felony animal cruelty. As the investigation continues, she remains in the Cochise County Jail on a $10,000 bond. This incident highlights the urgent need for strict enforcement of animal welfare laws.
