Demand Justice for Camel Allegedly Mutilated by Landowner

Target: Mr. Kamran Tessori, Governor of Sindh

Goal: Prosecute those allegedly responsible for the mutilation of the camel and enforce stricter animal welfare laws.

In a shocking incident in Sanghar, a camel was allegedly subjected to brutal abuse by a landowner and his employees, leading to the amputation of its leg. The incident occurred after the camel entered the landowner’s agricultural field. The gruesome act was reportedly captured on video, which went viral on social media, causing public outrage.

Five suspects have been arrested in connection with the incident, and they have been presented before a district and sessions court. The camel has been relocated to a non-governmental organization’s shelter in Karachi, where it will receive a prosthetic leg.

Despite the public uproar, the police initially filed a report against unknown individuals rather than directly against the landowner. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ijaz confirmed the arrests and mentioned that two suspects reportedly confessed to the crime.

This incident underscores the urgent need for stricter enforcement of animal welfare laws. Take legal action against those allegedly responsible for this cruelty.

This is unacceptable that the landowner was not charged!
What is the reason behind him not being charged? Political ties,
Fear, or Favours? How does someone get away with paying for this tragedy? It sounds as if he used his employees to take the fall and responsibility for him. Shame on you.
