Target: Vivek Phansalkar IPS, Police Commissioner of Mumbai, India
Goal: Ensure accountability and justice for the alleged poisoning of stray dogs.
Reports have emerged of a heart-wrenching incident where several stray dogs fell victim to poisoning, resulting in their demise. This act of cruelty was brought to light in a residential area, where these dogs, known for their gentle demeanor and reliance on the kindness of local animal lovers for sustenance, met a tragic end. The distressing nature of this event has sparked outrage and a demand for justice among the community and animal rights advocates in the Indian city of Mumbai.
Eyewitness accounts and statements from those involved suggest that the dogs appeared healthy until one evening when they began to exhibit symptoms of distress, such as vomiting and whimpering in pain. It’s believed that these innocent animals were given poisoned food, a cruel act that points to a deeply troubling disregard for life. Animal rights activists, upon hearing of this grave injustice, have rallied support, calling for an investigation that includes reviewing CCTV footage to identify the perpetrators.
This incident not only highlights the urgent need for stronger protections for animals but also calls into question the moral compass of those who would commit such heinous acts. Take immediate and decisive action to investigate and prosecute those responsible for this appalling crime.
PETITION LETTER:
Dear Commissioner Vivek Phansalkar IPS,
A deeply disturbing incident has occurred involving the alleged poisoning of several stray dogs, leading to their untimely deaths. This act of cruelty, believed to have been carried out deliberately, has not only robbed these animals of their lives but has also shaken the local community and animal welfare advocates to their core. The poisoning, described by eyewitnesses and concerned individuals, paints a picture of a calculated and heartless act against defenseless animals.
Further to the distressing reports, it has come to light that there were prior complaints of harassment towards individuals caring for these stray animals, including physical violence encouraged against them. The severity and specificity of these allegations demand a thorough and committed investigation. We urge you to utilize all available resources, including CCTV footage from the area, to identify and hold accountable those responsible for this heinous act.
We, the undersigned, call on you to ensure that justice is served for the poisoning of these stray dogs. By rigorously pursuing this case, you have the opportunity to affirm the community’s commitment to compassion and justice, underscoring the importance of animal welfare and the rule of law. Let this case serve as a deterrent to future acts of cruelty and as a testament to our collective resolve to protect the most vulnerable among us.
Sincerely,
[Your Name Here]

India does not like dogs! This is evident. India gave the world such a treasure in religion and spirituality but now? Only heartless people forgetting their place in this world. India has become Westernized yet in all the wrong ways.
It is heartbreaking to see India today.
Outer issues are but a symbol of inner issues.
There are many which are in great need of attention. Yet few even notice.
You are so right on. They don’t even take care of their people let alone animals except cattle.
That is why so how mean petitons for animals show up on this and other site, as well as why so few sign them. They won’t do anything no matter what the rest of the world says or does.
You are right. I worked for people from India who owned a personal care home for mostly mental health patients and the elderly. They treated their residents and workers like sh*t. They did not care about anyone else. They were so horrible. The cut the air conditioner cord with a scissors because they did want to pay for the people that lived there to have air conditioning. They ordered new appliances for the kitchen and cut up the credit card and refused to pay it. If this is how they treated people – what do you think they are going to do to animals????
India again. That place is the worst place I have EVER heard of as faras abuse. They seem to care zero about the issue of animal abusing people. Makes me sick to think of it. Stricter laws and harsher punishment have to be informed.
Sick monsters! Anyone that poisons animals, needs to be put behind bars! Disgusting murderers!
India again. What cruel barbaric monsters they are there…..and yet they cry poverty to the rest of the world. Disgusting inhumans
It’s always India
You couldn’t be more wrong. The vast majority love and care for their street dogs. The minority need killing off!
This world is filled with heartless monsters! The higher the population the more evil monsters.
Abject savages who enjoy a false sham world opinion of how they respect life.So serene and wise.
They remind me of tbe Amish, who everyone fawn over for their simple and Godly ways, but keep their animals in brutal, cringinly cruel conditions.
Phoney low lifes, both.
Wow, I did not know the Amish were so cruel towards their animals that does surprise me…
Fucking India!
Agreed! Its so sad India always seems to be in the spotlight for animal cruelty but we can help make a difference…I sure hope so anyways these poor animals need us to fight for them and it’s something I will never stop doing!
There does exist an excellent organization in India…….Animal Aid Unlimited (see their videos on YouTube) which rescues, treats, feeds and does street treatment programs for all animals in their surrounding neighborhoods. The deep, caring sentiment does exist in India, but there will always be the cruel outliers. This was a horrible example of what individuals can do. Don’t indict a whole country. Look AAU up, watch what good things can happen.
I was just going to say the same thing — thank you, Melinda, for bringing that up.
Wow, that’s great thank you for sharing it makes me feel a little better!
There’s always the best and worst in animal welfare. Unfortunately, the latter seems to be more sensationalized and I hope prevented whereever possible. We domesticated these animals and have an ethical responsibility to act with compassion and find humane alternatives whenever possible. So very terrible to think that these beloved creatures were treated so egregiously.
I feel so sorry for these innocent and defenceless dogs. They loved those who took care of them in the streets, but someone decided to kill them. Those cruel people must be charged and punished to the fullest extent of the law. Dogs aren’t objects. They are sentient beings who suffer and love just like we do. They deserve to live and are often family members.

INDIA AGAIN!!! What is wrong with this nation????? Strict punishment MUST BE IMPLEMENTED.
THESE CRYEL & ABUSIVE ASSHOLES IN INDIA DESERVE TO BE POISONED AS THEY DID TO THESE INNOCENT DEFENSELESS HOMELESS DOGS FOR NO GOOD REASON, BUT THESE THESE CRUEL AND ABUSIVE ASSHOLES IN INDIA DESERVES ABSOLUTELY NO MEDICAL ATTENTION, LET THEM DIE A PAINFUL DEATH!!!
I think it’s blatantly obvious that when people respond to barbarity, they’re not talking about every single person in a country.
But when it occurs over and over again, in the SAME PLACE, it does indicate an above average and grotesque tendency for this.
Why is it so ?
To deny it is sheer folly.
Poisoning an animal is beyond cruel it’s an extremely painful savage torturous barbaric act of hatred and deserves severe punishment! The prolonged suffering of these animals is sick and twisted and must be immediately addressed to show this will not be tolerated ever again it’s wrong and never should be done to limit pet population it’s not the dogs fault its the humans who allow them to multiply find a way of sterilization or humanely euthanize them period do not allow this slow agonizing torture to continue!
Vivek Phansalkar IPS, Police Commissioner of Mumbai, India
I am asking for compassion so other animals are not victimized.
Please comb through CCTV. Someone knows something. These bastards caused so much agony and pain to sweet, gentle animals that were only trying to survive on your streets. The people who did this heinous act are the worst of humanity and they are roaming free in your streets. Please do not stop investigating until they are brought to justice. Felonies First Degree
I am so sorry little angels. I hope these vicious monsters choke down the same poison they gave. May it be an eternal torture!
Vivek Phansalkar IPS, Police Commissioner of Mumbai, India
NO animal deserves to be a victim of DEHUMANIZED, DESENSITIZED, and criminal PSYCHOPATHS.
LAWMAKERS, this will not be tolerated in a civilized society. Take action to end this shocking animal mistreatment and poisoning.
It’s your duty as a human!!
Look to Mahatma Gandhi and his message of non-violence!
Thank you.
India!! I dont see why you are not prosecuting these low life scum bags!! If they do nothing they are as cruel as the abusers who did this!!!!!!!they should meet the same fate!!!!!

INDIA IS A 3RD WORLD SHITHOLE. I HAVE NEVER SEEN SUCH HEARTLESS BASTARDS IN MY LIFE. I PRAY KARMA GOES AFTER ALL THOSE WHO HAVE DELIBERATELY POISONED INNOCENT DOGS. MAYBE SOMEONE WITH AN ONCE OF DECENCY SHOULD STEP UP TO THE PLATE, RESCUE THESE DOGS AND VACCINATE & SPAY/NEUTER THEM.
