The lack of overall compassion and propensity for extreme brutality among human beings, no matter the country, is beyond troubling. It is chilling to think that a human being could carry out such horrific violence to small, defenseless creatures who harbor no malice or ill will to anyone. What evil lies in the hearts and minds of these people? I pray they are dealt with harshly and an example is set to prevent any similar crimes. I find myself increasingly intolerant of cultures who care little about animals and I don’t care who I offend. For me it is a window to the soul and what I see is extremely distressing.
