Find a Loving Home for Bunny, the Brave German Shepherd

Target: Bretta Nelson, Public Relations Manager, Arizona Humane Society

Goal: Secure a nurturing and permanent home for Bunny, the resilient German Shepherd.

Bunny, a 5-year-old German Shepherd, faced a life-threatening situation on December 26. She was found trapped in an irrigation drain, unable to escape. After an intense three-hour rescue operation, Bunny was freed by the dedicated team of the Arizona Humane Society’s Emergency Animal Medical Technicians (EAMTs). This ordeal reflects not just her resilience but also the urgent need for a safe and loving home.

During her ordeal, Bunny suffered from injuries and was found entangled in old ropes and collars. Her rescue brought to light her struggles with emaciation, lethargy, and severe injuries, including a leg that eventually required amputation. Despite these challenges, Bunny has shown incredible strength and spirit. She is now thriving on three legs but needs a forever home where she can continue to heal and receive the love and care she deserves.

The Arizona Humane Society cares for thousands of pets like Bunny annually. Finding homes for them, especially those who have endured trauma and require special care, is crucial. Bunny’s story is a powerful reminder of the resilience of animals and the compassionate care they need. Aim to find a loving, permanent home for Bunny, ensuring she lives the rest of her life surrounded by care and affection.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Ms. Bretta Nelson,

We are reaching out regarding Bunny, the German Shepherd who was dramatically rescued from an irrigation drain. After her challenging ordeal and recovery, Bunny now needs a forever home. We ask the Arizona Humane Society to intensify efforts in finding a nurturing and permanent home for her.

Bunny’s resilience in the face of adversity is truly inspiring. Despite her physical and emotional scars, she has shown remarkable recovery. However, her journey is not over. Bunny deserves a home where she can receive the love, attention, and care she needs to fully thrive. As she adapts to life on three legs, the stability and comfort of a permanent home becomes even more critical.

We urge the Arizona Humane Society to leverage all available resources and networks to find a suitable home for Bunny. Her story has touched many, and we believe there is a family out there eager to provide her with the love she needs. By finding Bunny a home, you not only change her life but also inspire others to consider adopting pets who have faced similar struggles.

Sincerely,
