Dog Reportedly Left Severely Dehydrated With Open Sores Deserves Justice

Target: Mr. Vent Crawford, Sheriff of Hardee County, Florida

Goal: Prompt a thorough investigation into the additional allegations of animal cruelty against former deputy Nicholas Zotto and ensure legal consequences.

In a troubling development in Manatee County, Florida, Nicholas Zotto, a former deputy, faces new charges of animal cruelty. This comes after his initial criminal charge and dismissal from Hardee County Sheriff’s Office. The dismissal occurred on November 1st following alarming alllegations related to Zotto’s treatment of animals at his business, Pawsome Sitters, in Manatee County.

Authorities at Manatee County Animal Services and the sheriff’s office unearthed evidence prompting these charges. Allegedly, Zotto continued operating Pawsome Sitters illicitly, flouting civil ordinances. Shockingly, despite orders to cease operations, Zotto reportedly accepted two dogs for boarding in late November. The dogs’ owner later found one of them in a deplorable state – severely dehydrated with open sores, as reported by a veterinarian.

This situation underscores a grave concern. The fact that a former law enforcement officer is implicated in such heinous acts raises serious questions about oversight and accountability in animal welfare cases. Additionally, it highlights potential gaps in the monitoring of businesses involving animal care. Therefore, these allegations must be investigated with utmost rigor and transparency.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Sheriff Vent Crawford,

We are compelled to bring to your attention the case of Nicholas Zotto, a former deputy of Hardee County, now facing multiple allegations of animal cruelty. The situation, as reported, is alarming, with Zotto allegedly continuing to operate his business, Pawsome Sitters, in defiance of legal directives and causing harm to animals under his care.

We urge you, as the Sheriff of Hardee County, to prioritize a comprehensive investigation into these allegations. Every aspect of this case must be examined meticulously to ascertain the full extent of the violations. Furthermore, it is vital to ensure that appropriate legal actions are pursued against Nicholas Zotto if these allegations hold.

Such cases of alleged animal cruelty, especially involving former law enforcement personnel, must be addressed with seriousness and urgency. They not only betray the trust placed in individuals tasked with upholding the law but also reflect poorly on the systems designed to protect the most vulnerable, including animals.

We trust that under your leadership, the Hardee County Sheriff’s Office will take all necessary steps to ensure justice is served in this matter. The community looks to you for assurance that such incidents are neither overlooked nor trivialized.

Respectfully,

[Your Name Here]

  1. Law enforcement needs to quit giving everyone in law enforcement a free pass to maim, beat, shoot and whatever they want to any animal unlucky enough to find themselves near these losers. This is enabling and even encouraging animal abuse to constantly turn a blind eye when the perp is an officer of the law. Do your real job, prosecute people who break the law!

  2. JoAnne said it wonderfully well. I agree!
To you last sentence I would add prosecute people who break the law and this includes yourselves!

  3. Put that stupid mother fucker in prison for the rest of his damn life
