Horse Apparently Whipped on Camera During Rodeo Deserves Justice

Target: James W. Glasgow, State’s Attorney of Will County, Illinois

Goal: Thoroughly investigate allegations of rodeo participant whipping his horse in the face.

At the La Herradura de Joliet Rodeo in Will County, a jarring incident unfolded. Christopher Dorado, a horse rider, faced animal abuse allegations stemming from this event.

Videographic evidence unveiled by an animal rights group, Showing Animals Respect and Kindness, captured moments that are now under scrutiny. Within this footage, Dorado reportedly struck a horse and whipped its face.

Acknowledgement of these actions came from Dorado, with a subsequent expression of remorse, according to the Will County Sheriff’s Office. As legal proceedings loom for Dorado in the coming month, further action has been taken.

A restraining order against the club organizing these rodeos was reportedly filed by the state’s attorney’s office. Acts of alleged cruelty, especially those documented and shared, demand attention, exploration, and consequent action. Fairness, justice, and animal welfare ought to remain pivotal in these pursuits. It’s time to take action.

  1. He should never be allowed to ride a horse again . He should not be allowed on any rodeo property or around any horse , pony, donkey, mule . He could have blinded this horse if he didn’t . People like this need to be locked up for animal abuse. No horse asks for this .
