Dog Reportedly Unable to Walk Due to 8lbs of Feces Filled Matting Deserves Justice

Target: Ms. Kathy Hochul, Governor of New York, United States

Goal: Advocate for stronger animal welfare laws in New York and raise awareness about the alleged neglect and cruelty inflicted upon a mini poodle.

The SPCA law enforcement division responded to a call about a reportedly neglected mini poodle, allegedly subjected to extreme suffering and mistreatment. The dog was reportedly so matted that it affected its ability to walk. A Putnam man is now facing charges in this case.

Upon arriving at the Patterson home, law enforcement detectives reportedly encountered a 9-year-old mini poodle that was apparently unable to see or walk due to the extreme matting in front of its eyes and extremities. Shockingly, over 8 pounds of feces and urine-soaked matting were reportedly removed from the dog’s body, highlighting the appalling conditions it had seemingly been forced to endure.

The dog is now undergoing care at an animal hospital and is gradually recovering from the trauma it endured. However, the incident underscores the urgent need to address and prevent animal cruelty within our society. Demand action now.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Ms. Kathy Hochul,

We urge you to take action to strengthen animal welfare laws in New York, aiming for comprehensive measures that prevent acts of cruelty in the future. By advocating for stronger regulations and policies, New York can set an example of compassion and justice for all living beings within its jurisdiction.

Furthermore, we implore you to raise awareness about the alleged neglect and cruelty inflicted upon the mini poodle. While governors may not have direct influence over individual criminal cases, they possess the power to drive meaningful change in animal welfare at a broader level.

The incident involving the mini poodle underscores the pressing need to address animal cruelty in our society. By prioritizing the enhancement of animal welfare laws, you can create a safer and more compassionate environment for animals in New York.

Sincerely,

[Your Name Here]

  1. This poor dog had no attention nor probably any loving kindness from this man. Yet this man will walk away from his torture to this poor dog. I do not feel it is in the best interests of the public or other pets to allow this man to have any animals in the future. Did he kill this dog? No. But he made life hell for this poor dog. There is no excuse and absolutely no reason for this type of treatment or lack of same! I also feel it is his duty to take responsibility for the financial costs o services provided his dog. Our laws have no bite so no one heeds the laws pitiful as they may be.
One more time … I implore you to do something meaningful for this dog and the future of all companion animals in New York.

I agree with you 100%. Animal abusers keep doing what they are doing because the laws are too lenient. All states should have stricter laws.

  2. Pamela Kempthorne says:

Do unto ALL animal abusers what they do unto innocent defenseless creatures! Animal abusers must feel the pain! NO MERCY! PERIOD.

  3. Mary Helen Barletti says:

If this dog owner gave the poodle no care and let it get like this– then he gave it no live either. He should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. And receive mandatory psych treatment. And be banned from having any animal. This poor dog suffered unimaginable pain at his hands.

Kathy hochul is a piece of shit. Do you think she cares about animals. She doesn’t even care about kids. YUK

    • Ellen Giammarino Munoz says:

Thats no way to talk about Kathy Hochul on this page to help Animals. Take your grievances elsewhere. You just wasted your space where you could have commented in support of this poor dog!!

  5. Ellen Giammarino Munoz says:

This is a disgrace people think it’s OK to neglect animals and they can get away with it. Don’t get a pet unless you are willing to commit to a lifetime and you’re ready to care for your pet. They cannot care for themselves. Neither can they dial 911. Please charge this person accordingly for animal abuse and neglect.

What a mean, evil piece of shit! I found this that shows just how badly that dog had been neglected and it’s horrible!

  7. Aprille Gilmore says:

New York and New England states should be leading on these issues – legislators need to craft a broad set of NEW, mire muscular legislation that includes serious consequences for animal neglect and torture. Governors rarely even lightly touch upon animal welfare issues directly or indirectly. Why? Please lead regarding comprehensive legislation and the funding to track, prosecute AND punish criminals. We need a national registry, a ban on exotic animal display, sale, ownership, to crackbdown on “zoos”, roadside attractions, animal acts, rodeos, racing AND the cruelty on farms. Beefing up laws protecting domestic pets would be a great start. If we can’t follow up a crime like this with jail time and forbidding the perpetrator from ever owning another animal, why pretend we even have animal cruelty legislation at all. COMPREHENSIVE LAWS + SERIOUS PENALTIES (INCLUDING JAIL AND SUBSTANTIAL FINES + WELL FUNDED ENFORCEMENT please.

    • You are SO RIGHT. The problem is, animal organizations have been working on all these issues for a long time already. I will never understand why it is so hard for all the various levels of legislators to move on these things – most decent peope WANT them. What we have is a patchwork of half-assed laws all over the country, most barely enforced. We have no right to call ourselves civilized when we allow these things when we should stopped themlong ago.
      I agree with you 100%.

    • Gilda Provenzano says:

I do agree with you but believe it or not New York have very strong animal abuse laws. I fought for years along with other people. In Brooklyn a pos get RECORD SEVEN YEARS in jail for setting stray cat on fire. Served all 7 years. And that was thanks to a politician who gave a shit.Does more have to be done? Yes. And i am still waiting for those cruel horse carriages to stop. And Hochul cannot do anything about this. LAW ENFORCEMENT IS FIRST STEP.

I would like to rub that 8 pounds of feces in that owners mouth!

  9. Shirley Lemieux says:

This dog suffered for a long time. Just like it takes a long time to get so matted to the point that this poor dog could not see or walk. It is such neglect and such cruelty. The man responsible should be charged to where he fully understands the consequences of his neglect.

  10. Wendy+Morrison says:

This CRUEL ABUSIVE ASSHOLE SHOULD SUFFER THE EXACT AILMENTS FOR THE REST OF HIS MISERABLE LIFE AS THIS INNICENT DOG DID!! PRISON CELL is TOO GOOD FOR HIM!!!

  11. Cheryl Miller says:

Does this abuser not have anyone that would encourage them to take care of their dog?! Why would you torture your dog like this? How can you watch your dog suffer and feel nothing?!?! I’m so so glad the dog is safe and I hope the dog recovers!!!

  12. May karma ensure this excuse of a human know EXACTLY how this feels

  13. That’s the dogs weight. He carried twice his body weight!! This monster was beside him the whole time.
Once the dog is shaved Shove his face in the feces until he suffocate!!! He’ll never do it again 😉

  14. Sharon Rudyk says:

People who abuse animals WILL also be abusing humans! Can you not see how this shows how sick the human race is??? [fewer good and decent people aside]. IT IS SO PAST TIME TO STEP UP AND PUT A STOP TO THIS!!! IT IS WITHIN OUR POWER TO DO SO!!!! HUSTICE WORLD WIDE NEEDS TO GROW A PAIR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • Gilda Provenzano says:

You are a thousand percent correct. Pos who fostered a kitten for a rescue group threw cat against the wall. She died.Group found out pos hit his wife!

  15. barry farley says:

please show no mercy for this heartless criminals that put severe punishment on these poor defenseless animals that can’t defend for themselves and are just seeking love and care by changing the laws in the books and punish these heartless criminals to the full extent of the law and show no mercy and not just a slap on the wrist. They should be removed from the face of the earth so we can never see their faces again.

  16. WHY DO WE ALL KEEP SIGNING ALL THESE PETITIONS IF NOTHING CHANGES???!!! THE EXSISTING LAWS FOR CRIMES ARE NOT BEING ENFORCED.

  17. Jaime Perez says:

Couldn’t this idiot person see that his dog was suffering and uncomfortable from all the overgrown fur?? How stupid can people get?! I’m so glad the dog was discovered and helped. He should never be allowed to have another animal of any kind!! Disgusting humans.

  18. Urszula Lund says:

No animal  deserves to be a victims of a DEHUMANIZED and DESENSITIZED SADISTIC PSYCHOPATH!!! Crimes committed against defenseless animals are increasingly GROTESQUE because the punishment for animal abuse is not severe enough, and in many cases does not exist. A slap on the wrist is a MOCKERY of animal victims. This satanic pathological monster must be severely punished, MAX JAIL or DEATH PENALTY! He must also be forbidden from coming near animals ever again and cover all veterinary costs resulting from this horrific abuse.
SET a PRECEDENT, and punish to the full extent of the law!

I agree with Aprille Gilmore 100%.

It starts with SEVERE LAWS THAT ARE ENFORCED. ANIMALS NEED YOUR VOICE PLEASE! SHOW YOUR HEART!

I am happy this little dog was saved!
