Stop Slaughtering Rhinos for Their Horns

Target: Mr. Cyril Ramaphosa, President of South Africa

Goal: Stop of the illegal trade of rhino horns to protect this endangered species.

Rhinos are critically endangered due to the illegal trade of their horns, which are in high demand in Asian countries for their supposed medicinal properties. South Africa is home to nearly 80% of the world’s rhinoceros population, making it a prime target for illegal poaching and trafficking.

The illegal trade of rhino horns has devastating consequences for both rhinoceros populations and the ecosystem as a whole. The poaching of rhinoceroses for their horns leads to a decline in their population and disrupts the natural balance of the ecosystem, as rhinos play an important role in maintaining vegetation and supporting other wildlife.

The continued illegal trade of rhino horns in South Africa requires immediate action. It is imperative to take a multi-faceted approach to address this issue, including increasing the enforcement of existing laws, implementing stricter penalties for those involved in the illegal trade, and raising public awareness about the consequences of this illicit trade.

Ending illegal wildlife trade is crucial for the survival of rhinoceros populations and the preservation of the environment. Sign below and demand the South African government take decisive action to protect these magnificent animals and ensure their continued existence for generations to come.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear President Ramaphosa,

I am writing to urge you to take immediate action to end the illegal trade of rhino horns in South Africa. The continued poaching and trafficking of rhinoceros horns is a threat to the survival of the endangered rhinoceros population and disrupts the natural balance of the ecosystem.

South Africa is home to nearly 80% of the world’s rhinoceros population, making it a prime target for illegal poaching and trafficking. The illegal trade of rhino horns not only threatens the survival of rhinos but also undermines the integrity of South Africa’s wildlife protection efforts.

To address this issue, we must take a multi-faceted approach, including increasing the enforcement of existing laws, implementing stricter penalties for those involved in the illegal trade, and raising public awareness about the consequences of this illicit trade.

We urge you to take immediate action and demonstrate your commitment to the protection of rhinoceros populations and the preservation of the environment. Ending the illegal trade of rhino horns is crucial for the survival of these magnificent animals and the restoration of the natural balance of the ecosystem.

Sincerely,

[Your Name Here]

these perpetrators are ignoramus idiots. In for the money – greedy scum. Cut your own finger nails and toe nails – it will be just as good , useless (like them)

  3. Jackie Simmons says:

They should remove their horns so there is nothing left for the poachers. I know that this has to be repeated as the horns grow but it would be better. Other places do it with success

This has to stop! To kill a magnificent creature for a small horn is incomprehensible. I am sick of hearing about Chinese medicine. Their horns are like our fingernails, why don’t they use their nails. Do they not consider where the horns are coming from and the sufferering involved. It’s disgusting!

  7. Anytime you see the word traditional and animal together you know there is animal abuse of the worst and stupidest kind involved. Buy some bloody Viagra and be done with this ignorant belief.

  8. What is Africa’s plan for tourism and businesses when they have killed off their wildlife? This is disgusting and depraved. I’d happily visit for wildlife tourism, but not hunting and when wildlife disappears a great deal of Africa’s economy will too. And where are Chinese authorities on this issue? I thought they were hoping to bring their country into the current century but if so they aren’t trying very hard.

  9. Bad karma is around the corner. Hope these monsters get poached by human organ traffickers! Meantime, please protect and save the rhinos from this illicit trade! Poor souls!

  10. Maria Lavorato says:

How can you let rhinos be mutilated like that! …in the name of medicine! Disgusting beyond words! You all deserve your parts chopped off!

Mother Nature provides countless holistic medicines from an endless array of plants which do not involve mutilation!

When you have no rhinos, elephants etc left you will most certainly be a land that no one will have the desire to ever visit!! ….and that’s what you will deserve.!
    Greedy bastards!!

  11. Wendy+Morrison says:

STOP SLAUGHTERING ALL RHINOS FOR THEIR HORNS IMMEDIATELY!!! BAN ALL ANIMAL CRUELTY AGAINST ALL ANIMALS IMMEDIATELY!!!!!

  12. There is no ignorance involved here.. the current RSA government is deep in the pockets of China… they are always after money, no matter who or what suffers. Nope…. they are not ignorant, they are greedy and very basic in their outlook on life.

  13. And stop legitimizing the term “traditional medicine.” It is Not “medicine.” It is just folk lore about useless measures trying to pass as “medicine “ and driving a magnificent creature to extinction

  14. Kill the killers!

  15. Shirley Lemieux says:

What possible medicinal properties can a horn have? Bogus or not, poaching is a serious crime and a threat to wild life. Is Government corruption getting in the way of protecting these Rhinos who are either being killed or disfigured? While Men are no doubt the root of all Evil, I am hopeful that the small percentage of good Men out there will help put an end to these crimes against wildlife.

  16. Agree all comments slaughter the bastards who do this and allow it.

  17. Michelle Stewart says:

Anyone caught killing a rhino or elephant must be shot dead.

  18. Anne-Mari Gavin says:

Here the cops fighting for the safety of our rhinos are stuffed in dirty prison cells if the catch the criminals!!! And the criminals advocates do the justice sustem turns against the ones fighting to save the lives of our rhinos while the criminals walk free. NO WONDER SOUTH AFRICA CALLED GANGSTERS PARADISE THE LAWS IN THIS COUNTRY ONLY GOOD FOR THE GOOD LAW ABIDING CITIZENS. THE CRIMENALS RULE THE POLICE AND THE JUDGES.
