Dog Beaten, Abandoned and Tethered to Dumpster With Neck Tie Deserves Justice

Target: Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department Chief, Johnny Jennings
Goal: Find and arrest person responsible for beating dog and then abandoning it in a dumpster.

A bloody, severely abused dog was abandoned and tethered to a trash dumpster with a neck tie. The poor creature subjected to this enormous abuse was rescued from the dumpster by a teenager named Joey. To thank this heroic rescuer, the dog was later named Joey by veterinarians.

When Joey arrived at the vet hospital, he was in bad shape. He was bleeding and had clear signs of terrible abuse. When veterinarians began working on Joey, they realized the abuse was even worse than first determined.

“The CT [scan was] actually what was the most alarming, he had so many fractures in various stages of recovery,” Chrissy Elder, founder of Forgotten, Now Family Rescue said. “So this was not the first time Joey had been beaten upside of his skull.”

Incredibly, rescuers were able to nurse Joey back to health and he is now living with a loving foster family. This story is far from over, though. The person who was responsible for the nightmarish abuse of Joey is still loose on the streets. Rescuers are offering a hefty award for the capture of Joey’s abuser, and yet authorities have still not identified any suspects.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Chief Jennings,

The person, or persons, responsible for this horrific abuse are still roaming the streets. We are asking you to dedicate all the resources necessary to find, capture, and arrest Joey’s abuser(s).

Sincerely,
[Your Name Here]

Seems to be the normal these days. Thank God Joey was a kind teenager and did the right thing.
Hopefully, they can find the POS and he gets what he deserves.

    • Lauren A Wallace says:

The dog’s name is Joey, not the teenager. They don’t have the teenager’s name but i have a feeling he knows the culprit. A similar crime happened a week ago and there were two black teens involved but they let them go. This is what is happening these days. It’s like the smash and grab, these black teens they call them children, children my ass!! They know that what they are doing is criminal and should be jailed. I am sick and tired of this uncivilized society and the Media is just not covering these heinous crimes against animals. Action speaks louder than words. LET’S DO SOMETNING NOW!

      • Animal advocate says:

Did you read the entire article? The teen who rescued the abused pup **IS NAMED JOEY** that’s why they named the doggo “Joey” in honor of the teen who saved him.

      • Animal vigilante says:

You sound racist. I’m not in any way defending any blacks that torture/neglect animals and lord knows that tragically, there are plenty–Mike the DICK vick!! There are just as many evil white scum (I’m white) who torture animals. I read about it every day. Also, lots of Latinos and of course Asians. What I notice most of all is EASILY THE MAJORITY OF TORTURERS ARE MALE–TOXIC TESTOSTERONE. Yes, there are females who commit these heinous crimes but not near the numbers of males.

      • It’s not just black teens FFS! This happened in the south and there are plenty of white teens that are capable of doing the same thing. And some adutls as well. Go sit down!

  3. Michelle Taylor says:

Joey’s scumbag abusers require instigation of the death penalty. A slow and agonizing extermination for these evil cretins is essential!! OH YESSS!!

    • Jeannie Frank says:

Yes!!!These heartless disgusting monsters must be made accountable-punishment must fit these horrendous inexcusable actions!!!

  4. Janice M Washienko says:

I’m sorry but I do not feel the same about humans as I do for animals with love & compassion. I wish nothing but suffering for those that abuse animals, that kind of evil has no place on this Earth…

    • I hear you loud and clear-Look at that most bewildered precious face!!!! Monsters do exist and these twisted violent offenders that have no spine; beating on the most innocent, need to be caged!!!!

    • Nancy Hunter says:

Absolutely, Janice — When the scum that did this is found, he/she should be taken to a national park and dropped between a grizzly and her cub. Let this monster feel a portion of what poor Joey did.

    • Karen Ricard says:

I am 100% on your side. Let hope they catch this sick piece of shit and get the same beating

    • Jeannie Frank says:

Yes, I am totally in agreement!!!!Drop this being and all others like him into the gates of hell.

  5. Urszula Lund says:

MAX JAIL for this extremely EVIL MONSTER! I lack words to express my indignation and anger at this DESENSITIZED, DEHUMANIZED, SADISTIC and highly PSYCHOPATHIC evil Satan. The sufferings this poor dog went through are of DEVILISH DIMENSIONS!! This poor creature deserves JUSTICE.
ANIMAL VIOLENCE shall be treated as any human violence. Animals SHALL NOT BE VICTIMS — and they deserve JUSTICE just like YOU and ME!
Please, do everything in your power to find this human monster. He must also be forbidden from owning animals ever again!

  6. Aileen James says:

Thank God he was found in the dumpster. I wonder how many other animals are placed in dumpsters and never found. Thank you to Joey. I hope this monster is caught. This is the kind of person that should never survive. Poor dog.

  7. I HOPE THE MONSTER DIES THE WORST WAY PODIBLE

  8. Surely someone in the area knows who the dog belonged to and a reward may bring them out. Have flyers been posted??

    Most people suck!

  9. Karen Ricard says:

I would like to see a group of people’s beat the hell out of this person and hang where the wolves bears take over.

  10. Agree all comments catch and beat these fuckers to death . We don’t want people in this world like this.

  11. Susie Waddington says:

Cruelty of any description is wrong.

  12. Absolutely unacceptable. It takes a coward to beat on an innocent dog . Hopefully they will find this useless pos and put his ass in jail and maybe there , he will find his maker. 🤬

  13. This piece of filth waste of human life needs to be caught and give him the same treatment he gave to the poor dog! Lock him away! These criminals running loose. We are sick of it prosecute to the full extent.

  14. Too many young people doing really evil, illegal things. It may be time for adults to take to the streets to get the police, courts etc attention to solve it…or at least punish them properly.

  15. Stephanie Geyser says:

Joey’s owner has probably already replaced Joey with a new dog,, and is likely to be beating the new dog at this very moment. This piece of garbage should be arrested ASAP and adequately punished, with a punishment that will teach him/her a proper lesson, and which they will remember forever.

  16. This POS who is also a coward needs finding and given the maximum sentence possible but not before someone can beat him to an inch of hid life because he deserved no better. If left to me he’d get an automatic “eye for an eye” death sentence. He needs to suffer like Joey has.

  17. I shall never understand the inhumanity of man,
while at the same time he can be humanity’s epitome.
Is he born cruel and then converted,
or born kind and then perverted?
Are both these traits within the genes,
or are they shaped by other means?
Why does the child stone the frog,
throw rocks at birds and tease the dog,
yet cuddle in his bed at night
    synthetic pets of every stripe?
And when to manhood he has grown,
does still pursue the path he’s known,
and proudly hunt the deer that fall,
to hang a trophy on the wall.
Or shoot at any helpless game,
perhaps to kill, perhaps to maim?
Abandon to the wild his pets,
or drown the dolphine in his nets,
harpoon the whale and club the seal,
yet no compunction does he feel?
Perhaps if he’d been gently reared,
to hold all living things revered,
he’d keep the proper point of view,
    these animals have feelings too…

  18. Paula Long says:

This cruel piece of shit isn’t going to stop! Law enforcement and judges need to get some guts and send this was hole to prison.

  19. Jail for bastard abuser, justice for the dog!!

  20. NICOLE DAVIS says:

I DONT CARE WHAT COLOUR THE ABUSERS ARE, THEY ARE A DISGUSTING WASTE OF SPACE ON THIS BEAUTIFUL EARTH. FOR HEAVENS SAKE WILL SOMEONE START PUNISHING THEM FOR THE CRUELTY AND WICKEDNESS THEY DO TO ANY ANIMAL…JUST GET ON WITH IT.
THESE TRUSTING SOULS SUFFER AT THE HANDS OF SO CALLED HUMANITY, SHAMEFUL, WICKED AND TOTALLY EVIL, IS WHAT THEY ARE.
PUNISH THEM TO THE HIGHEST DEGREE AND PROTECT THESE ANIMALS WHO TRUST US!!
