A utility worker found the poor creatures when he was working on a power line in the woods. He came across a suspicious trash bag that had indications of rotting bodies. When he investigated more closely, the worker discovered thirteen dead kittens, cats and a hawk. The bodies of the animals had been mutilated, apparently by a human.
“It is a horrific incident and not the type of incident we see on a regular basis in Placer County,” said Katie Ingram, director of animal services in Placer County.
The mutilated cats included kittens and cats of all ages, sizes, and colors.
“Just the number of animals and the circumstances of how they were found lead us to believe it was an intentional act,” Ingram said. “There was no predator involvement, no scavenger involvement.”
It is suspected that the cats and hawk were killed and mutilated at about the same time and had been rotting in the trash bag for the past week.

Sadly this person OR persons won’t likely be caught. Human extinction from earth. Humans are the cruelest, most ignorant, destructive and abhorrent creatures on this planet. Again I may be wrong but I think this was a teenage torture situation. I am sorry kids feel they have the right to torture animals. They don’t. And this behavior usually leads to harming others in the future. Parents have some degree of fault as they know there is something not quite right with their kids but usually avoid these thoughts instead of seeking help. I am sorry for the animals which suffered. Sometimes I feel humans don’t deserve animals.Yet without animals our world wold be desolate. Our laws must be harsher without exception for first offenders. States can not have authority over their own laws when it comes to murder in whatever form it takes. Laws are laws and felonies need to have the power to hand out just punishment. Judges also must look at both sides and remember the victims.

The ‘person’ who did this is a mentally ill sadistic freak.
