Goal: Applaud call for FBI investigation into potential Supreme Court judge Brett Kavanaugh
After demands from citizens and politicians across the country, the FBI will investigate allegations of sexual assault made against potential Supreme Court judge Brett Kavanaugh. Democrats in Congress, victim’s rights advocates and survivors, and petitions like this one on ForceChange demanded a federal investigation before Kavanaugh would potentially take a seat on the highest court in the nation.
It was Republican senator Jeff Flake who broke party lines and made the demand for a federal investigation. While Senator Flake voted for Kavanaugh in committee, he made it clear that he would not cast a vote for the judge on the floor if an investigation did not take place. He also made it clear that other senators felt the same as he, causing Republicans to worry that Kavanaugh may not be approved.
Due to Flake’s willingness to speak out and break with his party, a federal investigation was ordered by President Donald Trump. Albeit a “limited” investigation, this investigation may give Dr. Christine Blasey Ford and other survivors the justice they deserve. Sign the petition to thank Senator Flake.

Dear Senator Flake,
Thank you for breaking with other members of your Republican Party and for demanding an investigation into the allegations of sexual assault made against potential Supreme Court judge Brett Kavanaugh. Simply admitting Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court without an investigation is not doing due diligence as elected officials or showing respect to the survivors who spoke out.
Hopefully with this investigation, Dr. Christine Blasey Ford and other survivors may find the justice they deserve. Thank you for speaking out.
