Dead Puppy Reportedly Beaten Into ‘Ground Hamburger’ Deserves Justice

Target: Benjamin R. David, District Attorney for New Hanover County, North Carolina

Goal: Demand that the man who is accused of beating a puppy to death on Christmas Day receive the maximum penalty.

A puppy died horrifically after he was reportedly beaten viciously on Christmas Day. The puppy apparently bit the suspect and then urinated on his shoe, leading to the beating. Demand justice for this puppy.

“Dr. Smith told us he had never seen an animal beaten so badly. He described the puppy’s liver as ground hamburger,” stated Lt. Jerry Brewer of the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office. Axel, a yellow Labrador, died of repeated blunt force trauma and internal bleeding after he was reportedly beaten by Christopher Anthony Simpson. Per deputies, Simpson savagely beat Axel when his girlfriend and her family briefly left her parents’ home. Her parents contacted the authorities after they learned of the apparent cruelty, and officers later found Axel deceased in the backyard.

The New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office charged Simpson with felony animal cruelty. Sign below and demand that Simpson receive the maximum penalty by law, if convicted.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear District Attorney David,

A puppy was reportedly beaten to death in a shocking case of animal cruelty. The puppy was apparently beaten so badly that his liver looked like “ground hamburger,” police stated. We demand justice for this poor puppy.

The New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office charged Christopher Anthony Simpson with felony animal cruelty after he reportedly beat a puppy to death on Christmas Day. The puppy, a yellow Labrador named Axel, belonged to Simpson’s girlfriend’s parents.

Per deputies, Simpson beat Axel to death after the puppy bit him and urinated on his shoe. He then reportedly hid Axel’s body in the backyard. Reports showed that Axel died of repeated blunt force trauma and internal bleeding. Per records, Simpson was also charged with animal cruelty three years ago in a separate case. Those charges were dropped. Simpson has been released on bail and is awaiting trial.

This man must be punished, if found guilty, in order to ensure the safety of all animals. We ask that you seek the maximum penalty in this case.

Sincerely,

[Your Name Here]

  1. The DA is not doing thier job if they do not prosecute violent criminals. What is this puppy killer related to the DA? This sick piece of scum should have been in jail for his previous crimes. Why wasn’t he in jail for his other crimes of domestic violence? What does this moron have to do to get locked away? The DA should let this freak move in to his house and meet his family. I bet he doesn’t want this dangerous criminal near his loved ones, but he lets this f live near me!!! Do your job! Put this dangerous violent criminal in jail.

This psychopath is a danger to society. Lock him up and do your job in keeping not only animals safe but all of us.

  3. This subhuman needs to be locked away for the rest of his pathetic miserable useless life. He’s a cruel monster. I wish we could do the same to him as he did to this poor innocent dog. Unfortunately, our courts and most judges don’t seem to care about animal cruelty.

  4. What a sadistic monster. He needs to be removed from society.

  5. Cynthia Mattera says:

This is a very disturbed, dangerous individual who clearly has no soul, no regard for this poor puppy. My God! What a horrible death for him. PLEASE prosecute to the fullest extent of the law, with prison time and fines. Rest in peace lil puppy 🙁

  6. Maximum penalty is not good enough for this pos…resort to medieval torture then shoot the bastard with rock salt…😡

  7. This person might have been on drugs or alcohol in the worst way. Treating this person as a monster does not get to the root of the issue. This person needs to undergo months if not years mof empathy training. At the same time this person needs to understand exactly what he did to this puppy. Psychological assessment of the person would be invaluable.

Working in community service looking after animals for a few years might help. Jail time is such a simplistic solution to complex problems. It is not always the answer.

For that incident to occur obviously something, on that occasion, was not right. Perhaps this person was brought up in a family where animal abuse was the norm. Animal abuse often coocurs with family abuse. This situation is deeply sad.

    • Sometimes jail is all society CAN do. Some people are broken and cannot be repaired. This man is a violent sociopath. You cannot fix a sociopath. Ever. They are a broken machine. My husband was a prison psychiatrist, one of the best in the business, who helped a great many people. However, he knew, through years of work with prisoners of all sorts, certain conditions can only be handled by locking the person up permanently or putting them down like a rabid dog. Don’t tell me about medication. They don’t take them. Don’t tell me about therapy for someone like this. They are manipulative as hell. Frankly, if my daughter brought someone like this into my home I would have thrown her out and beaten him to within an inch of his life. No one worries about the dog, just the poor misunderstood man who next time will do this to a child.

    • Gail Gerstenlauer says:

I was a prison psychologist for 25 years. There is no possibility of “teaching empathy” to someone who has committed this kind of act. One is simply making them more dangerous by teaching them how to manipulate the system more effectively. Naivete has no part in managing people like this; the only thing possible is to protect society from them. He will undoubtedly do more damage to others in prison, but at least he can be stopped sooner, and his damage limited. There are a number of excellent books out about this kind of pathology. I would suggest Hare’s “Without Conscience; the Disturbing World of Psychopaths Among Us.”

    • Sorry J.S? NO EXCUSES.

  8. This won’t stop until stupid women quit bringing monsters into their homes to kill their children and pets. I hold this ignorant family just as responsible. What do you expect when you leave a child or animal alone with a demon from hell?

  9. N.C. your laws on animal cruelty are nill.what a backward state. Give me a sledge hammer and I will punish that evil, ignorant person!!

  10. What do all these petitions really do to get justice?? The letter that we sign does not even compare to the words I would use this piece of shit!

  11. A little bit of “RETURN THE FAVOR” WOULD MAKE THIS SHIT STOP!!

  12. JORGE LUIS LESCANO says:

Penalty death for this coward, bastard! Justice for Axel!

  13. I’M DONE SO OVER THIS FUCKING BULLSHIT!!!!

  14. The man who did this has MAJOR ANGER ISSUES and is a danger to people as well any animals that he may encounter. Let him off with this and I predict more horror but on a bigger scale next time! (there is no doubt in my mind that there will be a next time).

  15. Harriet Ables says:

POS that did this needs to die a slow painful death , quickly before he harms another living soul!!

  16. Harriet Ables says:

Second time ???? REALLY NORTH CAROLINA ???? WTF !!!
Glad I moved away 36 years ago!!!!!!

    • Listen, I am from NC and it is completely SHAMEFUL what this state ignores. This monster needs to be buried under the jail. At least the judge increased bail to $100k when he learned the guy and his LAME girlfriend were flight risks. And why the hell don’t her crappy parents press charges?

  17. It’s obvious the man is violent and will do it again, as before. Don’t let another animal get murdered by him. The dog looked like such beautiful, kind, and loving soul. Over a pair of shoes, please!

  18. To everyone on this thread who is saying put the guy in jail, the State’s of North and South Carolina have very lax punishments for these offenders. The laws in these two states have to change first for someone who committed a crime like this to receive the punishment they deserve. So , FIRST, we need a petition to the DA to get the laws changed so the penalties are more severe!!!!! This is a big problem in these two states…. THEN we can demand the person serve the time…but if the laws aren’t in place, these people keep walking with minor penalties. It’s a damn shame.

  19. BEAT HIS ASS!!! FUCKING POS!!!!

  20. How can this monster NOT be found guilty?? He admitted it by apologizing. And why the HELL are this lame girlfriend and her idiot parents not pressing charges? This is just too weird.
