Success: BCBG Bans Fur and Angora

Target: Max Azria, BCBG CEO

Goal: Praise BCBG for banning the use of fur and angora wool in its products.

For years, fashion giant BCBG sold products containing fur and angora wool. Thankfully, after listening to countless activists, including those at ForceChange, BCBG has decided to drop fur and angora wool for good.

Fur and angora wool come from the bodies of tortured animals. In the fur industry, it is common for these animals to be cramped into dirty cages with no access to food or water. They are killed in whatever way the industry deems most convenient, which typically includes neck-breaking, strangulation, suffocation, and poisoning. Angora wool comes from angora rabbits. Every couple of months, the rabbits are tied down and have their fur violently ripped from their delicate bodies. They endure this agony until their bodies stop producing enough fur, and they are deemed invaluable and killed.

Sign this petition and praise BCBG for no longer supporting this cruelty.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Mr. Azria,

Recently, you made the decision for your brand, BCBG, to go fur and angora free. I was ecstatic to hear this news.

As you are aware, countless animals are tortured and killed for their coats. Not only is it barbaric, but it is completely unnecessary. There are countless alternative materials available in today’s world to make cruelty-free, fashionable clothing. Thankfully, your company has taken a stand against this cruelty, along with Ralph Lauren, H&M, and Stella McCartney. Therefore, animals will no longer be exploited and killed for your products.

Thank you for making this decision and taking a stand for the countless animals trapped within these horrible industries.

Sincerely,

[Your Name Here]
