A pair of Indian students have been arrested after a video surfaced of them throwing a dog off of a rooftop in the city of Chennai (Madras). The disturbing video created a surge of outrage, with an intense viral campaign emerging to identify and find such heartless individuals.
In the video, a man can be seen holding the helpless dog by the neck and dropping it from the top of a building. The man can be heard laughing as the dog screams in pain on the ground.
The incident, and subsequent calls for justice, are detailed in this ForceChange petition. Thanks to this intense attention, the men have been identified as students of the Madha medical college, and have also been arrested for “maiming or injuring” an animal.

Medical students dropped this poor dog off the roof of a building!!! They should be removed from medical school permanently!! Not sure about you, but I do not want somebody who is a sociopath becoming a doctor and quite possibly becoming my doctor!!! The medical school needs to make a decision about these two remaining students. In addition to extensive jail time.

This petition is a mere thank you letter to a Minister of Environment. Where is the justice system officials’ involvement? Are we only being placated with an arrest by some minor ministry? We want life-changing punishment for these two sociopaths, not a celebratory petition and then oblivion. And yes, we want revenge for the dog.

Thank you for bringing these people to justice. However, the public deserves more: trust in doctors and nurses. These primitive low lives cannot be trusted! Instead of jail, they should be ordered built for the next 10 years, housing for the poor.
The sick individuals guilty of carrying out such a despicable act of cruelty must not only be arrested, they must serve a long jail sentence. There must be complete justice for what they did and they must be served with a lifetime ban from having anything to do with ANY animal.
