Success: San Francisco to Supply Residents With Renewable Energy

Target: San Francisco Board of Supervisors

Goal: Praise the San Francisco Board of Supervisors for providing renewable energy to the residents of San Francisco.

The San Francisco Board of Supervisors will will provide the city with clean, renewable energy and cut its carbon emissions thanks in part to petitions like ForceChange’s Tell San Francisco to Supply Residents with Renewable Energy.

The program, called CleanPowerSF, will reduce residents’ personal carbon footprint and will reduce the city’s greenhouse gas emissions by providing renewable energy options. San Francisco is already widely touted as a green city, and this program will help move it closer to its goal of transitioning to 100 percent renewable energy.

One of the best things about the program is that other major metropolitan cities can learn from it and use it to create a similar program for their own city. It’s vital that we continue to move toward greener sources of energy and make a commitment to nurturing our Earth. Sign this petition to praise San Francisco for enacting this hugely positive program.

Dear San Francisco Board of Supervisors,

I’m writing to both congratulate you and say thank you for launching CleanPowerSF, a program that will help the city move toward its profound goal of transitioning to 100 percent renewable energy. It’s amazing that not only will providing the renewable energy options of the program reduce residents’ personal carbon footprint, it will also reduce the city’s greenhouse gas emissions.

More cities need to follow your lead in becoming greener and more environmentally conscious, and I hope that they will. Thank you again for your commitment to our world.
