Target: Earthjustice Attorney Tim Preso
Goal: Praise requirement of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to prepare a recovery plan to save Mexican gray wolves.
Thanks in part to petitions like ForceChange’s “Don’t Let Mexican Gray Wolves Disappear Forever,” the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service will be required to prepare a long-delayed recovery plan for Mexican gray wolves by the end of next year.
Just 97 Mexican gray wolves existed in the wild at the end of last year, classifying these innocent animals as near extinction and as one of the most endangered creatures in North America. Thanks to the community’s work, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife service must take action to save these wolves from extinction.
Earthjustice, a non-profit public interest law organization dedicated to environmental issues, filed a lawsuit a few years back to challenge the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s long-time delay in coming up with a plan to save the Mexican gray wolf from extinction.
By signing this petition, you’ll help to celebrate this win for protecting animals and saving the Mexican gray wolf from extinction.
Dear Mr. Preso,
You recently worked on a lawsuit against the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service for taking decades to come up with a plan to save the Mexican gray wolf from extinction. The case has now been settled and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service will be required to come up with a plan to save these beautiful creatures.
It’s our responsibility to protect the animals who share this world with us and ensure that they are around for centuries to come. Thank you for taking a stand for Mexican gray wolves and taking action to make sure they’re saved from extinction.
