Why do we ask for an address with your signature?

We decided to begin asking for an address with our signatures because some of our causes are about localized issues and this will give us greater ability to rally support for these geographically specific causes through our community. We did not make this decision lightly, but similar to other petition sites, such as Care2.com, TakePart.com and Change.org, we ultimately decided that the benefit in asking for an address was worth it.

To try and make the process easier for our community, we’ve created a simple way to update your existing account here (if you’re already logged in) so that the signature form is auto-filled for you:

Once you are logged in to the site with an updated profile, all the fields for the petition signature form will be auto-filled for you.
